GREAT BASIC REFRIGERATOR

KEEPS FOOD COLD, AND MAKES ICE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE SPACING IS REALLY OFF. NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR TALL ITEMS WITHOUT LOOSING SPACE. SOMEHOW, THE SPACING DOES NOT REALLY WORK WELL FOR STORAGE. BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT THOUGH.

product ice maker is extremely loud the water to fill the ice is loud and water develops under the pull out drawer and no has been able to locate where its coming from. The water has to be sucked out with a wet vac every week otherwise it will leak onto the kitchen floor.

Could have been a great refrigerator

When it works, it's a good refrigerator. But I've had to replace the ice maker twice so far, the freezer gaskets once, and since the refrigerator part no longer cools I think I'm going to have to replace the fan assembly - and I'm hoping it isn't something worse. I'll be talking to the wife today about possibly getting a new fridge - but sadly, we're unlikely to consider another GE appliance.

After 11 years it is time for a new Refrigerator...finally at our breaking point with this GE refrigerator. This this has had so many issues...From the constant ICE in upper(known issues btw) & lower units to the Flap on the Left side door breaking(Cheap plastic parts)...Was told I would have to replace the entire door! Worst refrigerator I have owned.

Leaky filter…like all the other reviews

The same as everyone else. It leaks and you have to clean up ice and water underneath the deli section. Is there anyway to prevent this? It sounds like the answer is no. They keep mentioning O-rings, but very hard to find that part and then replace. Whenever we go on vacation we always clean it up prior because we are afraid to come back to a flooded house.

Ice maker repeatedly would stop producing. Twice it froze, eventually thawed but what an immense hassle of defrosting, heating up the freezer compartment! Very expensive replacement of the entire ice making system, worked for a year, has completely quit working again. Not worth it to replace/repair. Now the drawer freezer has stopped getting cold enough to keep food frozen. To be fair, partially due to dirty condenser coils and too full freezer, but after cleaning and throwing out most of the thawed food, it still won’t stay cold enough to freeze. Fridge compartment is still ok. I like the configuration, adjustable shelves, and filtered water is good.i guess it’s too expensive to replace, will continue to use until fridge dies. Will never again buy a fridge with integrated ice maker; instead will get one with an ice drawer and make my own.

Can see why this one is no longer made
on September 8, 2025

It was nice when 1st purchased. Out of warranty the compressor failed. We had that replaced for almost 1/2 the cost of new. Decided to go that route instead of just getting a new one (Mistake).
We constantly get sheets of ice under the bottom deli tray. One of the rollers broke & has been glued back into place several times.
The ice maker needs to be replaced every few years. It would eventually make smaller & smaller & eventually quit. I think we have replaced that 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years we had this.
It can also leak water making a big chunk on the ice compartment.
Now that section no longer cools enough to make ice. We did just purchase a new 2025 model Samsung (who make this one) in hopes this one lasts. At least it was on sale & paid much less for a larger capacity fridge.
Hopefully we can get a few $$$ for this selling on Craigs.
