Deli drawer and noise drives me crazy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one fridge delivered only to be replaced the next day. It never cooled down past 52 degrees F. I like that this fridge has the freezer on the bottom, that is by far my favorite feature. I can fit so many things in it and not worry about anything falling out on my head. The size of the bottom door shelf on right is great. I can easily fit a gallon of milk and large bottle of juice, but on the left door, because of the water dispenser, its hard to fit anything in a few of those. I like the size of the deli drawer but drives me crazy because it gets off its track when I pull it out. I don't the noise of the fridge either. It is entirely too loud. Its a drawback when we're watching tv in the adjacent room. We have to turn it up to drown out the sound. Overall, its decent. I just hope it lasts considering I've only had it about 18 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a nice fridge, though GE says it is no longer manufactured that is just the model #. I am sure there others just like it, this one has served us well except one issue. The coils tend to freeze up in the fridge area which then freezes the drain causing the drain line to freeze closed, this results in water accumulating under the deli drawer. I scheduled a work order and the tech came right out and fixed the issue quickly. Overall we are happy with the fridge, just get the extended warranty, it is worth it.

noisey icemaker is the only negative

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am super pleased with the consistency of the temperatures maintained in both the freezer and the refrigerator.The door operation is very solid. The available storage space is very good.
I would not recommend this model for one and only one reason--the noisy icemaker. When it dumps the ice it sounds as if it is dumping into a metal pan outside the refrigerator. This is unnerving during the nightime. No, the refrigerator is not in the bedroom.
I will give this model all kinds of praises for everything else , but would not recommend it. It is good that it has been discontinued , but , it is a little late for me.

Don't Buy This

I bought this refrigerator new 3 years ago and have had to the repairman out at least 7 times. The first 3 times were due to a malfunctioning ice dispenser. The last 4 times the refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling which made us loose all of our frozen items. Although GE stood behind it by "repairing" it at no cost we have no faith in this refrigerator and were forced to buy a new one after 3 years,.

I find the interior layout to be cramped. The ise maker does not perform as suggested. Crushed ice comes out on every setting with an occasional cube mixed in. I have had service done to it with no results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The above GE Profile Refrigerator while very good looking unit, did not perform well. It is only 4 years old and we are having to replace as we have been told the problem (water collecting under the deli drawer) cannot be remediated) We also are experiencing problems with the ice maker and the freezer does not freeze solid. Unfortunately, owning this unit has not been a good experience.
