LG-VN251S, Could give better but not sure yet

There is no support for my phone, no manual that describes all the features and how they work although on several websites this IS the phone for us "older" folks to get to transition to an IPhone or what ever. I'm not sure about that because I still haven't figured this one out yet and my younger friends who have IPhones are having a heck of a time helping me because this thing is NOT intuitive.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3rd Cosmos is dying now...the third in three years unless you want to be tied to a two year plan, but only have a phone for a year. My contract is up in July...see ya Verizon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's very slow, doesn't download music, won't update, and sometimes can't receive multimedia messages.

Good phone...as long as you don't use group texts
on October 31, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want a basic phone, this little guy will get the job done most of the time. It's compact, it has good battery life, clear audio, and easy texting with the slide-out keyboard.
However, after having it for just a few days, I will return it. Why? There are two major problems that make this phone just about useless to me.
1) This phone can't properly handle incoming group texts. Although you can send texts to multiple people, when a group text is sent to you there is no indication that it is a group text, you can't see who else the message was sent to, and all of your replies go only to the sender instead of the group. If you're somebody who fields texts from multiple people often as I do, this phone will not work for you.
2) The internet browser on this phone cannot access any google pages because it doesn't have the proper security certificates. So you cannot access Gmail, Google calendar, you can't even access the Google home page! If you don't plan to use the browser this won't be a problem at all, but for me this is incredibly frustrating.
I was hoping to have this phone for the next few years, since other review say that it's pretty indestructible. But unfortunately need to exchange it. It's really too bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My 50+ year old dad had this phone for 6+ years. He loved it. He’d still have it had he not dropped it in water. Very easy for him to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
