The designers should of kept going forward with the technology, instead it is basically another call of duty 3.
What's great about it: new features from previous models
What's not so great: should of kept going forward with the technology not backwards

I thought this was a great game overall. Some of the perks were kind of dumb. You have to be like level 60 online to get iron lungs for your sniper, it's ridiculous.
What's great about it: The new attatchments i.e. bayonet, bipod
What's not so great: Levels to achieve perks
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great game, if you liked COD4 then you will love this game. I bought gears of war 2 and this puts GOW to shame. Best game of the year
What's great about it: More weapons, better online gameplay
What's not so great: none yet

favorite game i have ever owned loads better than cod 4 and i am so glad i got it some of the things in the game that r quite annoying r the tanks but just use some c4 or a bazooka and ur set if ur thinking bout purchasing this game for your kid then i would highly suggest it
What's great about it: soooo much fun and loads of blood and gore much better than the last cod online play is quite amazing one of the greatst
What's not so great: nothing well a little it much of gore but great for any kid above the age of 12 but i can see y it is rated m but stil

choices that weren't in Cod 4.War, cap the flag, tanks, dogs, 65 levels, 10 classes, bayonets, bipods, dual magazines, sticky gernades, molotovs, and frags, dogs, flamthrowers, hardcore free-for-all, hardcore war, also limbs flying all over the place,(in solo player or co-op u can shoot or blow peoples heads off). u also hav the co-op split-screen or live co-op. u can make a squad with friends, also there is a massive leaderboard with everything imaginable. and also flame thrower tanks.
What's great about it: The options for online play are just outstanding.
What's not so great: you hav 2 wait way 2 long 4 some of best n useful weapons and perks.Ex: Iron Lounge( 60)M1A1 Carbine(65)Flamethrower(65)
I would recommend this to a friend!

People say this game is going to suck so bad because it goes back to WWII. But the guns are better, the online is more fun, the flamethrower perk is awesome, and the career is extremely fun. I thought that this game would never top COD4, but I was definitely wrong about that. It is a million times better and I will play this game for a long time. Everyone that I know loves it. Will make a great Christmas gift for any Call of Duty gamer.
What's great about it: Online Play, Guns are Better, More Perks, Addicting
What's not so great: Nothing

Excellent shooter. Not nearly good as COD4 though

I was hesitant about buying COD World at War because COD4 was so excellent. I didn't understand the concept of going back to weaponry used over 60 years ago when the weaponry used in COD4 was so awesome. Nonetheless, the solo campaign mode for COD World at War is excellent. It DOES takes some time figuring out which person to be shooting. I couldn't tell if I was shooting a teammate or an enemy! There is even one instance where you're asked to blow up enemy tanks. The only problem is that the enemy tanks look so similar to the Allies' Sherman Tanks! Even though the weaponry is all outdated (gosh, COD4 was so awesome, but anyways) but still makes for a very pleasant shooter. The flamethrower is one of my favorites. Activision sure didn't skimp on the graphics and presentation as well. You're really in for a treat the second you insert the disc and play the game. Definitely a keeper (even though Call of Duty 4 is still the best in the COD series).
What's great about it: Presentation is excellent as always. Missions are interesting and surprise ambushes always catch you off guard
What's not so great: It takes some getting used figuring out which guys are the bad guys and which guys are on your side
I would recommend this to a friend!

this game is so awesome the two player campain is so fun and live is the best ever if you dont have this game get it no questions.
What's great about it: xbox live its so fun and gory
What's not so great: the graphics thats all
