Make better choices, you get what you pay for.

Although I will agree with the majority of these reviews. This oven hood DOES have faulty, cheap buttons that will fall apart and if you’re lucky will get lost inside the hood assembly. That requires you to take the whole oven hood apart (approximately 12 T10 torque screws) just to get to the button assembly. Do not pay a technician to replace the button assembly. I was able to find my button after disassembly and push it back in and then reassemble. On a level of 1-10, approximately a 4 in difficultly level.

Don't Buy! Buttons break and are very expensive to replace

The push buttons on the front of this are defective. They are made to look like they are metal but they connect to a very small piece of plastic that breaks off easily. The replacement part is more expensive than the entire unit.

Quite disappointed.

Just like others, I have a button which fell out of the unit and then tried to re-insert and it got pushed all the way into unit. So far have been in a chat with associates for 2 hours and they are not able to help. The front buttons should be serviceable.
Looks like I'll be replacing the unit with something else.

Range hood

I bought this six months ago and the #3 fan button just fell off and disappeared inside the hood. What am I supposed to do now? I planned to use this for years. Like the halogen lighting though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fan Speed Button Falls Out

This range hood was provided in our new home we bought in 2016. The performance for four years has been good however the medium speed fan button just fell out and when we tried to put it back in place it went inside the hood and can't be retrieved. I see from other reviews this problem is not uncommon. Frigidaire needs to do something about this obvious design/manufacturing flaw. My hood is out of warranty so unless I get some assistance from Frigidaire my only option is to purchase a new hood. Rest assured it won't be a Frigidaire!

Buttons fell off right away

Quiet and powerful!

After our cheapo vent fan bit the dust, we wanted to get something much better. This fan has a cool look and I love the simplicity of the push-button controls. The grease trap is simple to remove for cleaning. The fan also offers back-vented, top-vented and recirculating mounting options. The dual halogen lights are much better than the cheesy 40 watt bulb our old unit had.
This fan moves a lot of air (rated at 300 cfm) when you need it to and at it's highest setting you can still hold a conversation.
The cons are minimal, in my opinion, but they are worth mentioning. The top surface sticks out further than I anticipated, I believe this is so the recirculating vent is exposed, if needed. It is about 2 inches proud of the cabinet face frame. It is also about an inch and a half shorter, so we had to fill in the backsplash, that was a minor inconvenience. I'm pretty sure the dimensions are given, I just didn't compare them.
All in all, I am very pleased with the look and functionality of this fan. There are many options in this price range and I'm glad I chose this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good hood but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this from our builder in the new home, worked great for us for about 14 months. But after 14 months though, the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of, and soon after all fan speed buttons came of. There is no way to fix this and only way is to get it replaced. For a product that costs about 250+, getting only 1 year out if that product is not good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
