Design Flaws

This vent hood came brand new with our new construction townhome. Within a year one of fan speed buttons pushed into the panel and now all of them have done the same. This appears to be a consistent problem with this model.

Garbage! Don't buy it!!!

Came with new home install and fan buttons randomly fly out of the unit like many, many other people have complained about. When calling for warranty repair, it is only apparently covered for only 1 year. I can't believe that this isn't considered a manufacturing defect based on everyone else's similar issues!

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my new home on April 1st with a suite of Frigidaire appliances. The light bulbs vent hood and it hasn't been three weeks. To make matters worse, it's almost impossible to get the bulb loose to replace it.

Thank you for reaching out to us Damien. We regret to hear that a lamp is not working on your range hood. We would advise to ensure the lamp is installed properly first. When touching the lamp you should use tissue or wear cotton gloves to avoid damage or prevent decreasing the life of the lamp. To remove the lamp push up on the lens and turn it counterclockwise. Then reinstall the lamp by inserting and then turn clockwise to lock it into place.

I had this hood for less than 6 months and one light when out, and now the second one!
It’s not even cover by 1 year warranty !!! No not recommend !

All Buttons GONE!

It started with one button that slung out at my wife's face while she was cooking. This product is a safety hazard. Then a second button did the same. One of the buttons eventually got pushed in, and we had to start using the other loose button to enable other fan speeds. Eventually they all got pushed in. From what I'm reading about in all the other reviews, this seems to be a common issue and should warrant a class action lawsuit if they can't remedy the problem. We'll be sure to avoid Frigidaire products going forward.

The button popped out and fell inside hood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened hood, found button inside, applied rtv to pin that button slides over and worked fine ever since. nothing broken, they sometimes just come loose, otherwise only had to change a few lamps and everything else works fine.

Nice look and feel, but……

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. They should mention to record model and serial number before installation for ease of reading. 2. Protective film on the surfaces comes off way too hard and where there are seams with a tuck under overlap the film does not come off well. Adhesive residue does result in some areas. 3. The BIGEE—- fan motor assembly was not fastened on all 4 screws to the range hood. 2 screws tight, 2 screws only into the plastic housing. Result was a very loud fan rubbing that was solved by tightening the 2 loose screws. Awkward but it was accomplished successfully. 4. No need for a 3 speed fan. Two is more than adequate. 5. Only air filtering is done by a washable stainless steel mesh panel. Would be much more effective with some sort of filtering media like charcoal. Washing will require very light handling. 6. But the stainless steel coloration is a match to my Frigidaire Gallery range and refrigerator. 7. My local small business brick and mortar store where I bought my fridge and range did not carry this so I had to buy elsewhere! They also don’t provide Frigidaire warranty service and repair. Go figure that!
