Great Sound!

These do have a great sound. They do a good job of noise cancelling to filter out ambient sound. And they have a comfortable fit without squeezing my head too tight.
My only complaint is that the ear cushions tend to make my ears sweat. I wore them while grocery shopping and the ear cushions were wet with sweat after about 20 minutes. It was kind of gross. I've never experienced that with any other headphones before. I hope they were made with some kind of anti-microbial built in. I wasn't even working out. I can't imagine how much I would have sweat had I been exerting myself.

The best of best

I tried the solos, mixrs, and solo HD and the studios where by far the best. All of them sounded great but the studios had the best bass and clarity. These headphones where well worth the money spent and I would take any other headphones over these.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Poor Audio Fidelity

How Often Used:Less than once a week
ALL this (and from what I've found since this purchase, the rest of their line) "Dre" headphone does is boost the low end (bass) at the expense of the mids and highs. Any audiophile who wants to hear music the way the musicians played it, will be sorely disappointed. Any subtleties are lost in these ugly, large ear cans. You can get far better quality sound, quality construction, and most importantly, value by purchasing something from Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Sony, or other real audio experts. And, here's the thing. Usually less than HALF the price of "Dre" headphones.
I gave this kludge to my nephew, who clearly only cared about loud bass blasting his ears, and picked up a set of Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones. In EVERY measurable way they were superior. One quarter the price, crisp PERFECT sound, long range, and excellent construction. Seriously, the "Dre" headphones cost $300 and the Sennheisers cost $80. $300 is ALL marketing hype. It's not a surprise to learn that Monster, the home of the $150 HDMI cable, were the ones to create the "Beats by dre" line of overpriced, poor sounding headphones.
What's great about it: Have To Admire Their Advertising Ability
What's not so great: Muddy Midrange And Highs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
