Absolutely love the earphones. The sound quality is phenomenal & caliber of beats you can eat thump in the earphones is remarkable.
What's great about it: Easy assembly, great sound quality!
What's not so great: Don't like the fact that it has to use batteries

How Often Used:Daily
Not only am I obsessed with sound, but I am also big into style as well, so when I saw these I had to get them. I have had the Beats Studio headphones for quite a while until I decided to go ahead and get these new colored ones. Let me start off by saying that you are getting a review that takes away the look of the headphones and gives you an honest review of the sound and comfort.
I will first talk about the sound. I am going to break it down in terms of lows, mids, and highs just as expected.
Lows- Wow... Finally what the teen generation has been looking for. This bass will rattle your skull and then make your eyes bulge out. Perfect for hip-hop and rap.
Mids- This is where the problem lies. Very underwhelming... I'm not sure if the bass drowns them out or what, but they are definitely not a stand out.
Highs- At times a little too harsh. At high volume levels, claps and cymbal crashes can make your ears tweak a bit, but then again, you would have to be deaf to be listening to these things passed 75%.
As a whole, these cans will please music lovers. It is definitely a set that is made for bass heavy music, which some people specifically look for.
When it comes to the price tag, $300 is a lot of money. I would say that these are probably worth around $200.
If you're looking for a more solid pair of headphones that are not geared towards bass and are at a cheaper price, I would immediately recommend the Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones. They are incredible headphones and do offer unbelievable bass, but it is not over-exemplified such as is the case with the Beats.
As for the build quality... It's plastic... It feels fragile... And if you do not take care of these, they will break. Luckily, both Best Buy and Monster have excellent customer service and will give you brand new replacement headphones if yours happen to break. I definitely recommend getting the Best Buy warranty though.
One more side note, these are incredibly comfortable. Even for long periods of listening (while walking), your ears will not get too hot or sore. They are like clouds on your ears. Also, they do require two AAA batteries to work. Rechargeable do the trick.
What's great about it: Comfort. Bass, Highs, Style
What's not so great: Mids, Requires two AAA batteries, fragile
I would recommend this to a friend!

alright i got these yesterday and before i put them on i realized alot of pros like style durabilty ect. but when you turn on the music sound leaks like crazy even on 1 out of 16 on my iphone 4s. on about 3 or 4 out of 16 you cant hear anything around you. also with the iphone and ipod you can activate EQ which enables you to be able to use bass bost, vocal bost and about 15 other things.. all in all these are about 4.5 but would be a total 5 if they didnt leak as much as they did.
What's great about it: syle and sound
What's not so great: sound leaking (everything else is excellent)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was doing my homework for about 3 months searching for the proper headphones Im a Marine living in barracks and $300.00 is a good amount of money to spend on headphones. I wanted great sound quality,stylish and living in barracks i was specially looking for noise canceling. I found all of that in the beats studio great sound quality bass is awesome and acoustics as well perfect balance overall so if you listen to hip hop/rap the bass is there, rock/metal vocals and guitar is there and if your like me living with a lot of loud noises and just want a good ole quiet time listening to music without any ambient noise Beats Studio are the headphones for you. im not very tech saavy so i do apologize for the lingo. Overall AMAZING PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY!!!!

I know there are people going to disagree with me(by the way, I'm by no means an "audiophile") , but I think these a great pair of headphones--at least better than the rest of the Beats By Dre Lineup. The sound had been so far the best of its features. The balance between highs, mids, and lows are unheard of in Beats' range of products. "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons and "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen show a prominent showing of lows, while "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire and "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons definitely show the presence of mids and highs. Hip hop, rap, pop, dance, and a variety of rock are probably more suited to define the headphones, but by no means so these sound bad for other genres. In a summary, the sound of the new generation Studios are really good and are the best from Dr. Dre. Besides for being extremely stylish(it's a Beats product, so duh) , the comfort of the Studios are unmatched by anyone else. The leather ear cups fit snuggly in your ear and the band gives a cushion that makes you feel great. I can wear it for days on end. The only really downside of this product is that it'll create alot of fingerprints, so make sure you have a cleaning cloth handy. In conclusion, if you have the money, definitely try them out. If you don't, there are other alternatives around. I honestly think that these headphones are the best in its class. Every kind of headphones have their drawback. Everyone has a different set of what balance is to them when it comes to music, and this is coming from musician who listens to lots of music with different sets of headphones. I like to see more bass especially in more generic headphones, I like Bose products, but I don't want a not stylish and not durable(most of my old Bose headphones broke), and Sennheiser products, but they're not my style of headphones that I'm interested in. Everyone has their own opinion, so if you disagree or look down on my opinion, I could really care less.

These headphones are great for music and movies. Really nice bass, but still not overpowering.
As far as the noise cancelling feature, they fall short. If you're looking for a good noise cancelling headset, you probably should try out a set of Bose.
I picked up the Beats on sale ($100 off) so at $199, I'll be keeping them for the nice sound alone. But I would not recommend them as noise cancelling headphones at the normal $299 price point.
I'm splitting the difference in rating.
5 stars for sound
1 star for noise cancellation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
