How Often Used:Daily
I just recently bough these beats by dr. Dre and their just as good as my first pair are. I own these bests studio's and also the tour beats. These beats i bought at a whim because i really want to have headphones that can offer more sound cancelation then the ones that go into your ears. First off lets set the record with the people that are knocking beats for their quility. The people who say they break easy NO!!! They dont, they may be plastic outside but theirs metal in the band and unless your really hard on them their not going to break. Second the sound is what make beats well beats. The sound is so crispnand clean and if you have never tried them like dre says your not hearing everything. Great buy take it from a guy how buys alot of electronics.

I have the first studio over the ear headphones and these headphones sound much better. The sound is much clearer and the bass doesn't over power the music.

The over the ear pads are very comfortable. It is on par with the BOSE that I own. The sound quality of this earphone is comparable to that of my BOSE quiet comfort, and I got a great deal on this BEATS Studio, so overall, this item is by far the better deal for me. I do highly recommend this unit for those who are music enthusiasts. The only upgrade that I would have chosen would have been to also get the bluetooth (but for another $100 I didn't want to spend that addition).

My son requested theese as a birthday gift, so I paid the $299.00 ( for headphoness??? Really???). The sound quality is good. He loves them. I like the fact that they fold and have a hard case to protect them in his backpack. I did not realize that they used batteries, and had an on/off switch that a 13-year-old boy will leave on (of couurse) almost every time he takes them off....so we use a lot of batteries. So far that is the only negative for me.
What's great about it: They fold up and store in a case to keep them safe in his backpack.
What's not so great: They eat up a lot of AA batteries, especially if they get left turned on!
I would recommend this to a friend!

loud hum at low/medium volume

Just bough these phones on 12/21/14. Sound and base were great until you turn down the volume. When listening to music at low/medium volume settings there is a very noticeable hum that I'm guessing is created by the noise cancelling device. It's very annoying when you are NOT wanting to rock out at high volume. If your jamming to high base laden music you might be OK. Not worth the $200+ in my opinion. Taking them back to Best Buy this evening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
