I use these headphones in various surroundings, from the airplane to the gym. They look sophisticated and of high quality. The sound is comparable but less than that of most brands in the same tier, in my opinion. Noise cancelling ability? I'd give it a 8.5/10. You have to constantly charge the headphones and I dislike that the only way to switch off the headphones is to disconnect it from the cord that connects to your audio device. If you leave the jack in, the headphone will stay on, even if your audio device is off. I've forgotten to take the jack off several times (just because, like most people, I turn off my audio device to stop listening) and have left the house with dead headphones -- not good days for me as a music lover.

Overall, I think these headphones are a good buy. Just get used to its on/off function.
