Pros:
-Awesome selection of songs
-Auto callibrates based on TV
-Large variety of songs
Cons:
-Some of the songs are from previous
-hit box is very small and feels a little weird
-only 4 drum pads (although I heard you can have more if you buy the right accessories)
Overall, great game. The only complaint I have with this game is it's not aesthetically made as the guitar series are and that the play is still the same whereas Guitar Hero made a few changes (like you hold down a few notes at a time while playing different notes at the same time).
What's great about it: Great music selection, autocallibration
What's not so great: the notes are smaller and graphics not as great as Guitar hero series

Better than rock band 1. This has all new features than rock band 1. It has a drum trainer mode where it helps you create realistic drum fills. There are 85 songs, which all of them are the origional version. Battle of the bands mode is also included. If you seen the preview for the setlist of GH world tour, it's o.k., but RB2's setlist is way better. I have to warn you that this game has the same difficulty as RB1.

Nice step up from Rock Band 1. I was debating between this one and GH4 and this one definitely beats it out. It has downloadable content every week and has plenty of songs to play from. Also u can upload songs from Rock Band 1 to Rock Band 2 so u don't have to switch discs if you ever want to play a song from RB1. Great game!
What's great about it: better than Guitar World Tour
What's not so great: none!

My family has fun playing this game. The game visuals are great and the new music is unbelievable. Old as well as newer songs. Playing on-line is loads of fun too. I recommend this game for the people who love music and fantasizing about being in a real band.
What's great about it: Great game
What's not so great: none

Rock Band 1 was a great game with fun for parties but playing one players was king of a letdown with not being able to play the World tour with only one player.
That change with Rock Band 2 not only can you have one person World tour but you also have a Challenge Mode that pushes you to be better with each equipment.
The best Feature of all is the online World tour which you can have up to four players on four PS3 playing in your band while you set out to take on the world trophies that are unlock are unlocked for everyone playing, which makes it much easier to achieve them.
What's great about it: more songs, online tour, trophies.
What's not so great: none.

I just purchased this game 3 days ago but I can already say without a doubt that this game has exceeded my expectations. My family loved Rock Band 1 and have been looking forward to the release of Rock Band 2 and played for about 4 hours the day we got the game. I love the option to turn off the fail mode for my kids. I have 2 six year olds and 2 eight year olds that love to play but the six year olds would fail half way through the songs and this new options makes it that much better for the kids. I have only unlocked about 30 songs but they all ROCK. I would recommend this to anyone who loves music and video games!!
What's great about it: Better graphics, better music, all around better game
What's not so great: None so far
