This game is Way better than the last one!!!! The Graphics are amazing, The songs are great this game features over 100 songs on the cd!!!!!!! plus you can download more this game is amazing!!!!!!!!!!

More of the same, but better

Let’s not fool anyone here. Rock Band 2 is essentially the same thing as the original Rock Band. Yet there are some wonderful improvements to the game.
In single player, the campaign is different. The normal Guitar Hero format for unlocking songs is not longer in effect. Now, single player is like the band tour mode in the original (Note: I haven’t explored all the game play options so I might be wrong there). This can be a lot of fun but you will find yourself playing the same songs over and over and over. The Live game play is vastly improved. Being able to recruit random players online and the ability to join another band through Live is a great addition. You will probably be mismatched but oh well.
The repetitive play can be fixed but it will cost you. Song can be downloaded and the cost will vary. I’d recommend avoiding single songs and focus on song packs or albums. Rock Band 2 also has the ability to play all the songs from the first Rock Band, but it will cost you 400 X-Box Live points and some hard drive space. If you’ve followed the Rock Band / Guitar Hero series, you will undoubtedly see numerous repeat songs. Despite that, there is still a lot to choose from. As the difficulty increases the variety of music available decreases. You are left with nothing but metal.
Rock Band 2 also seems to be easier than the first. I’ve been playing the guitar part on expert. I feel like I’m about half-way through with the single player tour, and I have gold-starred more songs than not. As previously mentioned, I haven’t played it extensively so I’m hoping to come across some harder songs. From viewing some online play, the drums also seem to be easier, which is good considering their high difficulty in the original.
The graphics are nothing special and the customization is about the same as the first. Anyway, I feel I’ve ranted enough. Solid game considering it’s more of the same.
What's great about it: Same gameplay, Potential for a vast number of songs, Still a great party game
What's not so great: Same gamepaly, Repetitive, Easy, Cost of more songs
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Music Game to Own

If you like music, you should buy Rock Band 2. It's that simple. I can't reccommend this product enough!
I was a big fan of Guitar Hero 2 and now I'm hopelessly addicted to the Rock Band franchise. There are over eighty songs on this disc and each and every one of those songs can be played in 4 different ways (guitar, bass, drums, or vocals), which makes for a TON of gameplay.
All of that gameplay is presented nicely in the game with a World Tour mode that you can now play online or completely solo, tour challenges, and an awesome new Battle Of The Bands mode that has your band competing to get the top score on a certain setlist. If you beat your friends, you have to try to take on the #1 spot on the leaderboards.
The core gameplay is addictive as ever and Rock Band drums is one of the most fun things ever in a video game. You should own this :)
What's great about it: Over 80 songs, new features, extremely fun core gameplay, old DLC works.
What's not so great: No tracking of gold stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Music Game Ever

This is the best music game you will play for the next 2 years. Harmonix has created an addictive experience that is great for parties and people who just like to rock out. The track list is really varied and has a lot for everyone of all ages to enjoy.
A great new feature is that your created characters can now play any instrument. So you're no longer stuck playing drums ONLY if you created your character on the drums! And in the refined tour mode, you can have your created characters stand in on the other instruments when you are playing solo or without the full band.
Add in the downloadable content and the AC/DC track pack that is coming out later this year and you have a great music game that is even better than the first. The refinement and fun factor that Rock Band 2 brings to the series makes it a must own.
What's great about it: Great track list, good difficulty balance, can import songs from RB1, characters can play any instrument
What's not so great: None

The Rock Out Game

This game will bring a party to your house, nothins better than hangin out at a buddys house to go jam out on some rock band and get some competition goin, break them vocals in that you never knew you had as well. Good for the parents to get into with there kids gets family relationship goin good cause they love the interaction.
What's great about it: Your able to see what kind of hand-eye cordination you have
What's not so great: $300 drum kit to have symbols and all gotta save for it

Pretty much the same as rb1 but has some minor changes. Live play is easier to do and you can get random players to play with now. the songs are really great too with many choices.
What's great about it: Live play
What's not so great: same as normal rockband

Great sequel

Great sequel to rock band 1, i have the original instruments and they work perfectly so dont feel like you need to buy more instruments (even though it would be nice) Almost all 84 songs are great, however some (like the beastie boys song i think) are horrible, boring, and i have no idea why they are on it...but the other 83-81 songs are really fun. I dont know if its just me but it would be pretty cool if they had some rock remixes of rap songs as well, but overall really fun
What's great about it: great songs, harder, more songs, only $60 (not bundle)
What's not so great: some songs are bad
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rock Band 2 delivers a bigger hit than the first one !! it has 84 songs on the disc plus all the ones that you can purchase through the marketplace and you can also add all of the songs on Rock Band 1 !!!
