Charging station works great, and it's nice not to have to connect the controllers to the USB cable(s) and get the consoled cluttered. Getting the mini USB connections to match can take a second, so as long as you don't try to force them together it seems to work just fine.

This charging station is great. It does exactly what you need it to do, which is charge your PS3 controllers with your PS3 being off. If I had to pick a gripe, you need to carefully plug in the controller to align the male and female parts of the charging station to the controller, but it is not a big deal. I purchased the PS4 charging station first and found that to be incredibly easy to use.

Kids are the worst at charging things (PS3 controllers, iPods, etc.). Their toys always seem to be half dead (or worse). Introducing this little gem! When the kids are finished playing, they just mount the controllers on the charger. The best part is the PS3 isn't left running just to charge a controller.
