Good with one issue

Let me start by saying this is a good product. It charges remotes fast, has red/green light to show charge status, and takes up little space on in your gaming area.
There is one major flaw though - it can be very difficult to line up the Mini-USB port on the top of the remote with the port on the charging dock. I have used this product for roughly 6 months, I can only remember one or two times I could easily slide this in, and make a solid connection the first try. Other times would require me to shift and slide the remote until it got the perfect angle and position before docking.
Because of this flaw I am going to try Sony's charging dock that seems easier to drop in and charge like I was used to with my Xbox 360 chargers. I wouldn't recommend against this product, although I would say consider other products first.
What's great about it: Easy to charge remotes, Charging Status Light
What's not so great: Ease of Use

Charger NOT as described

I purchased this charger mainly because it stated, "This convenient charging system allows you to charge two controllers at once, or up to four controllers at once with the use of USB cables (not included)." Since I already had the USB charging cable that came with the PS3, I purchased an additional USB cable thinking I could charge my to controllers and two PS3 motion controllers at the same time. There is NO place to plug in additional USB cables. Huge fail BB. Know your product!

Sounds strange that this is my third one. Bought first and thought an electrical storm knocked out top charger. Bought second one and realized after a few months that top charger was not working. Figured it died, it was 3 months had no receipt. So went to best buy to buy something else, grandson was in town.. this was only one in stock and needed now so bought third one. It too right out of box did not work on top, so that one I took back after 4 days. Have given up on this altogether.

Do yourself a favor, get the Sony Brand recharger.

My girlfriend has bought this thing 3 times in the time I've owned the Sony brand charger. She like it because it lights up. Does it work? For a while. Does it look cool? If you like things that light up very bright. But because the Sony charger exists, is better, lasts forever, and is actually easier to take controllers on and off of it, this only gets one star. I'd give it a negative star if they had them. It's not even close. Get the Sony charger.

Looked up this product on Bestbuy.com. It said it was in-stock at my local store. Went to my local store and couldn't find it. There's one 'like' it, but not it. I grabbed an associate and showed them the online product and description. They looked up the SKU and, pointed to the item on the shelf and said "that's it". But it isn't it. We opened the package and I showed the associate that it only charges 2 controllers. It does not have a spot to charge the head set, or additional USB ports to charge 2 more controllers (cables required and not provided). They shrugged their shoulders and said 'sorry'. I recommend BB correct their description, and bring back the one that actually charges 4 things. I'd buy it! Local store is in zip 43240, Polaris Parkway, Columbus Ohio.

Good looking charger

This is a reasonably priced charger with a sleek, modern look. It works well in terms of charging controllers.. It is a bit difficult to seat the chargers in the unit but this gets easier with some practice. The ony thing bad about it is that after owning it for a few months the LEDs showing charging status have failed. They are supposed to change from red to green when charging is complete and now mine just stay red.
What's great about it: Looks great. Chargers controllers in a reasonable amount of time.
What's not so great: LEDs showing charging status unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unfortunately, I ordered this because the description says it charges up to four PS3 controllers (with 2 needing 2 usb cables not included). There are no additional USB ports on the unit and the box says clearly that it charges only two. I'm returning.
What's not so great: Only charges two controllers!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
