Fax not working

I like the printer, which shares my one phone line. Some calls make the printer go crazy. I do not get a confirmation page when sending a fax. I need help with this.

Scanning doesn't work well with Mac

The printing works fine but I've needed to call Brother twice to reload the scan feature. The good news is that the Brother service is excellent and they've been able to fix the problem both times. The first rep I called, however, told me that the printer does not work perfectly with Mac products.

Printer is great except for the fact that the ink heads dry up, if not used every few weeks, requiring 10 to 15 "head cleaning" operations and a new ink cartridge. How can I protect against this if I leave the printer unused for a time? Please advise. Thanks

Have had this printer for two years. Have never had a glitch with it. Has performed as expected. Do a lot of printing, cartridges exhaust quickly. Retail prices for cartridges are expensive. Besides these two issues, equipment performs above expectations. Great for Wi-Fi, too. Trouble free use and operation.

One Size Doesn't Fit All

Good affordable printer at a reasonable price. If you're looking for an all-in-one, this could work for you.
Notwithstanding, I needed to have done more research before making this purchase. While the colors are nice in this compact machine, I need a laser jet all in one not an ink jet. I find the use of toner to be excessive for my needs. also while the wireless feature is great, I find using it to be other than naturally intuitive. I've used the product for several months now and I still haven't figured out how to scan images to pdf. Customer Service is helpful but the representative I worked with wasn't knowledgeable enough to fix my issue.
Oh, and I absolutely hate, hate hate the paper tray. I'm spoiled by, and accustomed to, not having to remove the paper from the paper tray to load and print an envelope (had to replace my Dell 1815dn) and the letterhead, check stock, and envelope orientation symbols on the tray and document feeder don't match what comes out on the printed document.
I'm back to looking for a Laser Jet all-in-one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

all I can say at this point is that the purchase process was clear and went smoothly and the shipment arrived right on time. I have not used any of the ink cartridges yet so cannot vouch for their quality. thanks so far!

I bought this printer the same day I bought a new home computer since my old computer was 10 years old and my local bank told me I had to update my Microsoft Explorer.
