Worst printer I have ever purchased!

In the few weeks I have had the MFC J475DW, I have had trouble with inability to use any ink cartridges other than Brother! It refused to recognize 2 suppliers that I have used on Brother for many years which makes it unacceptable to me! When the paper feed gets low, it distributes 2 or 3 sheets at once, wasting time and if partially printed, also paper. It retains settings after the printing job has changed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Customer support needs improvement

Install the Inkjet to my home network and it would not print an entire page. Then would continue to try to print the page over and over.
I called customer support and we worked on the problem for over than hour. Customer said they would escalate the problem and someone would call me the next day. No one ever called me back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT little All in One

I'd heard Brother printers were thriftier on ink than many other brands. So far so good. I was amazed at the sharp images with normal printing on plain ink jet paper. I printed a photo of some flowers with bright colors on matte paper, and was blown away by the realism that came through! I'm much happier than I was with the several other brands I've had. Thanks Brother!

I am very pleased with this purchase, but that is not without reservation. You should emphasize that paper loading needs to leave a space at the printer side. For the first week I was having multiple sheets feeding through and I wasted a lot of paper with prints being on half a sheet. The other thing is those ink cartridges that say they're good for 300 sheets. I bet they only lasted 100 or so. Two weeks after purchase I'm buying high capacity cartridges.

A real piece of plastic junk

After repeated paper jams, this one went back to Best Buy after six weeks. Paper started jamming at the second print! We did the trouble shooting, adjusted the paper, etc. Finally it just jammed every sheet and we gave up.
With no on/off switch, it would come on at odd times and make noise. Cheap, cheap, cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ink situation

We purchased your printer and are unhappy that we need to buy the full ink cartridge because 3of them are almost empty. I really think this is non sense and a waste of money. The prints are not very good quality. Very unhappy with the product.

I am extremely hapy with this machine. It has done all i hoped it would do. it has not let me down in any situation. It could be a Little faster when copying legal size documents, but it does a fine job anyway..
