I purchased the double oven unit and the 1st time I used the steam clean feature a npon removable stain appeared in the upper oven. GE replaced the entire unit because of this apparent flaw!!!

Can't hear the timer bell

We installed this unit three months ago as a replacement of its predecessor. The earlier Profile double oven's mother board went out twice in the 12 years we owned it, the second time there was no replacement available, so we had to replace the whole unit. Sort of sad. It's a nice convection oven, and cooks evenly. The only complaint we have is that the timer bell tinkling is so petite and considerate that you can't hear it.

I really enjoy using my new product. It would be a benefit to be able to use the convection feature in both the top and bottom ovens (in the model I have the top oven will do convection/conventional baking but the bottom oven only conventional baking).

Double wall oven

I bought the oven to replace the original GE oven in my home which was over 20 years old. The oven is fine, but I purchased a black unit and now have to look at the white GE Logo, I find it very irritating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We absolutely love this oven. The cook temp is spot on and the convection oven turns you into a professional chef.
Our only knocks against it are that the timer function is a bit confusing. Otherwise just awesome.

Bought this to replace a 23 year old double oven. Alot has changed in that time! We love the convection feature and the self cleaning options--steam and leaving the racks in. It cooks evenly and even tho we haven't tried timer features it appears to be a top of the line appliance

Worst oven I have owned in 56 years

This is the second oven from g.e. They replaced the first one because I had so many problems with it. This is isn't much different. I can not bake anything like cookies and cakes because the oven changes temperature and does not stay even. I am burning cookies or they are under done. I have been baking for years and I have never had this problem! Help! I feel stuck with this oven. I am thinking about putting a different brand in my basement for when I bake! I don't know what to do!
