Bought this as a second fridge. Use it more the contractor installed fridge. Love the adjustable shelving.

5 years in the ice maker quit working, shelves are falling out and in some cased dont fit proplery anymore.
The drawer at the bottum wont stay on the tracks... really GE? if this applience suite didnt come with my new house I would never purchase again.

Plenty of Storage!

Searched for a long time for a refrigerator - finally settled on this model. Very pleased. Quiet, plenty of storage, and very nice appearance. Does show fingerprints, but I think that is an issue with most stainless finishes. Very pleased with our choice!

Problems with freezer door

We can only open the freezer with both hands and a strong yank. Technician says the seal is too strong and nothing to be done about it. Also, the two drawers in the freezer automatically open when we open the freezer. So you have to push them back in. We've had this model before and loved it, but this one is not great.

Within a year of purchase the gaskets on both doors had riped and had to be repalced fo >300.

Noisy, Awkward, Weak Shelves, Poor Ice Maker

This came with our house. At first we were excited. We had a GE french door 26-28 CuFt in the old house.
Ice/water in the door - hot water takes forever, ice maker capacity is small, noisy fan circulates cold air up from freezer, ice crusher clogs in chute then melts and drains in the floor. Touch screen navigation is frustrating.
Shelves - ice maker takes alot of space on the door this makes the shelves shallow and the door thick. Not spill proof, spills drip on shelves below. Veg drawers are short and don’t fully pull out, a head of celery just fits in 1 specific slot. Wide meat/cheese drawer has same problem doz eggs are a tight squeeze. Collapsable shelve is a nice feature but at time hard to operate.
Door shelves. Ice maker side are great for small bottles like tabasco. Opposite side are large with a couple height options. These shelves are a bit weak. The two piece design looks nice but weakens the structure. I discovered the large break before disaster stuck and repaired it with epoxy.
Overall - we had to put a ice cooler, for soda milk and juice, in the kitchen for Thanksgiving. Only 5 of us but it lacks in shelf space. We plan to replace this with a french door, bottom freezer, no water in the door frig asap
