Died when the warranty expired

We purchased this refrigerator from a local hardware store in AZ in October, 2014. We also purchased a 3 year extended warranty. During those three years, we had GE come to our house numerous times to fix problems, including replacing the entire ice maker, eventually replacing an entire door, replacing the motherboard, and replacing a fan. Exactly one month after the warranty expired, our three year old GE refrigerator died. It seems as though the problems with this refrigerator built up until it completely stopped working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only 4 years old and already had to have it serviced for a bad board AND have them back for a burned out fan motor

EASY REGISTRATION FOR MY GE CAFE REFRIGERATOR

High end Refrigerator that won't last you 4 years!

In about 4 years of use, the Refrigerator broke! The freezer stopped keeping food frozen and the ice maker stopped making ice. They had the nerve to charge me $371 to repair it. We also had GE dryer that we had to repair and ultimately replace because GE had no other option for us. It was not cheap! What will GE do if the Refrigerator breaks again after the repair, force me to purchase another Refrigerator from them??
Total money wasted on GE appliances. I would highly recommend another brand.

The New Cafe Refrigurator has it all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has really sold me. Advanced Features like hot water and advanced water filters saves me money.
Advanced Compact Design gives me more storage in the same amount of space as my old side by side.
And GE is placing "American Workers" back to work with their Kentucky Assembly plant.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Where is the autofill feature on water dispenser?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited for the Café version of the Profile frig that has the auto fill water dispenser. When it finally came out they took out the auto fill and put in a hot water dispenser. Café is supposed to be top line and I had already bought other Café brands and wanted frig to match so I was sorta stuck with it, but I really miss the auto fill dispenser. The Precise fill is also useless since you have to stand there anyway to press the button to fill a container. Why not provide a button to start and stop so I can walk away while it fills? GE engineers missed the mark on this one and I'm very disappointed as the auto fill feature is really cool and the precise fill could be useful if I didn't have hold the button.
