This is my second one I also know someone else that has this one. They lasted around 8 years with daily use. I drink a lot of coffee 4 or 5 cups daily
so I do not like single serving coffee makers. The coffee tastes so great because the heated water compartment keeps the water hot & it's ready to go. It's simple so it's easy to use.

Different than many other coffee makers

This is my first Bunn home model, and it operates differently than typical drip-style coffee makers. True it does brew quickly, but you give up some features like automatic timer. The brewing process starts when you dump in the water. The other thing that is different is that the machine is always on - you pour in water the first time you plug it in, and the heater runs continuously. I'm sure it only costs pennies a month to do so, but that might be a considerations. Finally, I feel like the coffee it makes is weaker than a typical drip machine, owing to the fast brewing time. Bunn says that's a feature, but I am not convinced. The brew is smooth, but I notice a different and compensated by going to a darker roast with a finer grind to get a brew that I like. There's also a different nozzle that you can request for free from Bunn if you want to alter the brew time more.
All in all I would recommend the machine, just know it's a bit different from normal drip makers.
