I have found this coffee maker to be great, the new pot doesn't leak and the coffee is hot and stays that way. Have found this maker to be worth every penny...

I love the fact that you don't have to worry about breaking the decanter or leaving it on the burner without enough coffee in it. I also love how long it keeps the coffee hot! This decanter, even without the burner, keeps the coffee steaming hot for a good 2 or even 3 hours.
What's great about it: Brews in 3 minutes
What's not so great: nothing

With all of the choices in coffee makers these days, it is a rather daunting task to choose one when a coffee maker crisis arises. All of the flash and glamour of the single cup lot, with their dainty countertop footprint and colorful carcasses can be tempting. As a loyal, lifetime Bunn user, the choice was not so difficult.
My first BTX Thermofresh model lasted ten years. Ten years, brewing 2-3 pots a day, 7 days a week. I am afraid it would've lasted much longer had I taken better care of it.
You never have to worry about burnt coffee, forgetting to turn a burner off or your second cup being cold. Your coffee is brewed super fast and stays hot and fresh for an hour.
The only item on the "Cons" list would be: it will forever ruin you for any other coffeemaker. When a friend offers you coffee and you have to suffer through 20 minutes of the guttural groaning of a lesser maker struggling to give you 6 ounces of questionable coffee, you'll secretly judge your friend for their poor life choices.

Doesn't stay hot long enough
January 4, 2017
Have you ever tried turning the lid so the two arrows are not aligned? It will close the top almost completely. Another thing to check is the little rubber/vinyl stopper on the top of the lid. Check to see if it is worn. More air will get into the pot that way.
I love mine and have bought replacement parts on the Bunn website.

When looking for a new coffee maker, I knew I wanted this model so I searched the internet. Best Buy, by far, had the best price and I liked the option of picking up at the store so I could choose the time and date. My husband is in charge of making the coffee and he LOVES this model. The coffee is hot, the right hot; the grounds are thoroughly saturated, giving the optimal flavor; it is automatic shutoff so we don't have to worry if the coffee maker is off; the coffee does not sit on a burner - thus, the operative word "burner". We don't have burnt tasting coffee. We LOVE this model. Can you tell?

This coffee maker is awesome. It makes a pot very fast and the carafe does keep the coffee hot for about an hour. Very nice looking machine to have sitting on a counter also.
What's great about it: very fast coffee
What's not so great: doesnt keep it worm but about an hour

Easy to use. Fast coffee in less than 3 minutes as advertised. No hot plate to burn your coffee. No on and off switch except vacation. No worries about leaving the coffee pot on. Simple machine however expensive. I have not been experiencing carafe issues coffee hot after 3 hours in carafe.
No burnt coffee. Con......Not as attractive as other coffee makers and expensive. Only makes 10 cups. But good tasting 10 cups!
What's great about it: Super Fast Machine/Simple to use/No hot plate
What's not so great: Electricity usage
