If you want a movie for your collection that includes a hero definitely get Iron Man. The plot is great. A company that makes weapons sells both ways... the owner Tony Stark not knowing. It goes from there. The action is amazing and wow the graphics will dazzle you. A big bonus is that this movie will include a digital copy for all your ipod owners!!!
What's great about it: Great Awesome Sweet Movie
What's not so great: None

This movie was great! The plot was interesting, with appealing characters to move it along. The actors played their parts well and handled the dialogue lightly. Definitely worth watching, and I'm DELIGHTED that I saw it in the theater. For those of you who have impressively large televisions and surround sound systems (I do not, sadly; yeah, 27" SD TV, right here) this movie should translate well to your living room, and for those of you who don't, it's still worth owning.
What's great about it: Techie stuff, action, humor
What's not so great: I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A comic book superhero film with real value

Iron Man was the best comic book film ever made until The Dark Knight came out later in the summer of its release. It still maintians great distinction. The film follows Tony Stark, a billionaire genius whose company designs military superweapons. During a trip to the Middle East, he is captured by terrorists who tell him to build them a wepon with which they can conquer their enemies. Instead, with the help of another prisoner, he builds a mechanical suit and escapes. Once returned to the world he knows, he decides that he have put too much evil into the world, and that it is his duty to use his genius to protect the people he put in harm's way.
Robert Downey Jr. is this film, since his performance (so uncannily perfect for the Stark of the comics that you can't imagine anyone else doing it) infuses the film with a dark humor and charm that it needs to truly stand on its own two feet.
The interesting thing to note about Iron Man compared to much of the other comic book fare out there, especially from Marvel, is how heavily it relies upon its characters throughout the . Very little of the film features Stark as Iron Man; instead, we mostly see him preparing his suit and looking toward how he'll go about becoming a 'protector of those he put in harm's way'. There is a villain, but he is barely used and is hardly a pillar of the story line. These are things for which the film was criticized by some, but to me they infuse the film with a level of crediblity that is lacking from so many comic book-to-screen adaptations.
I highly recommend this film as something that is both smart and entertaining. If you haven't seen it yet, then you're in for a treat.
What's great about it: Brilliant acting by Robert Downey Jr., great humor and outstanding direction.
What's not so great: None. None whatsoever.

Iron Man is probably the most heavily anticipated Blu-Ray movie release to date. The movie was out of this world in theaters, and is expected to deliver the same, if not more on Blu Ray.
The movie is true to the classic comic series ironman.
I would revcommend this movie to anyone who loves action, adventure, sci-fi, comedy, etc. movies.
(there is something for everyone)
What's great about it: Robert Downey Jr. plays the part perfectly
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great movie, worth paying a little extra for blu- ray. The picture and audio is great, with a good story behind it also. The audio seemed a little better on Kill Bill Blu-ray, but not much. I liked that it had alot of bass. I have a klipsch sub-12, and with the sub volume about half way up, the explosions and action scenes shook my entire house. If you want to show off your sub, it is a must have.
What's great about it: high def, truehd audio
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Iron man is a great movie with great action, plot, and blu-ray makes it even better! The only bad thing is that there are only about 4 action sequences, and they end way to quickly! Blu-ray does make this movie alot more enjoyable though!
What's great about it: great acting, plot, great movie, blu-ray!
What's not so great: action sequences end way to quickly, only about 4 action parts!?

This is a great movie to watch with the family! It is action-packed and the humor and violence are not over-the-top. Robert Downey Jr.'s acting is great in this film and really pulls the whole thing together. A must have for your collection!
What's great about it: Fun, engaging, not too crass
What's not so great: A little thin on plot
