My sister and I borrowed this game from a friend and it was really addicting and fun! There was always something to do. We were sad to have to return it back to our friend and were thinking of buying the game ourselves, but the price was too high. I think that's our only complaint. Besides that, it's a great game that keeps people entertained.
What's great about it: Really fun and exciting stuff to do every day
What's not so great: Price
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Wii game ever

I first had Animal Crossing for DS. I knew that game was fun so I imagined this game would be fun. I was right and this game is better! If you have the DS version, it's alot like that yet better!
What's great about it: The city part and everything else
What's not so great: nothing so far
I would recommend this to a friend!

I never played the previous Animal Crossing games, so my experience with Animal Crossing City Folk is as a beginner to the series. That having been said, I do not experience the disappointment I hear from players of the previous games that little has changed. The interaction with characters, other Wii friends online, activities, player and house customization all keep me entertained for far longer than I would have expected. I don't even realize how much time has passed while playing. The graphics are fun, the background music is subtle so as not to be annoying. There are contests on particular calender days/holidays, challenges catching rare fish/bugs, digging for fossils. There is so much to do here or unlock I bought the game guide.
My one complaint would probly effect gamers playing at night. The stores close after 10pm which leaves you unable to purchase or sell items. In the end, it forced me to change the internal game clock so that I could move ahead in the game when playing it at night.
One more thing, it is not exactly a complaint but when you visit the salon to change your hairstyle you don't customize it yourself. (Which I was expecting). Instead you answer a short series of questions about your choice in style and based on your answers the game changes your hairstyle for you. Surprise!
What's great about it: Silly, relaxing fun activities to keep entertaining for hours.
What's not so great: Stores are only open 8am-10pm limiting activities at night unless you change the clock
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another great Animal Crossing

This is a great game where you are a person who moves into a town full of animals (they act just like people). In this game you do normal things like shopping, fishing, collecting bugs, and going to the city. These things might seem to be dull on paper but in the game they are extremely fun. The game is played in real time so if it is night, then it is night on the game. Also the game has holidays (like New Year’s, Halloween, and Christmas) so in order to do everything in the game, you have to play it for a long time (which is great). The only bad thing is that, for those of you who have Wild World, it is kind of a repeat, although now you can go to the city and use Wii Speak. Overall this game is great and I recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: You can play this for years and still find more to do
What's not so great: It is too much like Animal Crossing: Wild World
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome game you'll spend hours on

Just to say, I don't actually own the Animal Crossing: City Folk wii game. But i have played it so many times at my friends house I practically own it. And I'm getting it tomorrow.
First off, you'll spend hours and hours playing it and not even notice. the background music is basically unnoticable. You get to shop and go to the city. Get new hairstyles. And in your town you can dig up fossils, fish, catch bugs, design your house, pay off your mortgage, sell things, collect fruit, collect flowers, talk to people in town, donate to the museum, write messages on the bulletin board, and catch a bus to the city. Also if you buy the wii speak (A MUST!) you can talk to all your friends even if they're not at your house.
the wii speak works perfectly. it's crystal clear and you can even hear people in the background! It's really fun to visit other people's towns too. So i suggest you ask your friends to get it too.
You don't really feel that urge to quit the game because it doesn't really become boring. But it is kind of hard to find your house. I wish you could just click on the map and be transported to wherever you wanted to go.
Um, the nunchuck isn't the best way to move. Sometimes you just go in circles!
Otherwise everything about the game is fantastic. A few hours will have gone by and you won't notice.
What's great about it: Everything! finding, catching, shopping, wii speak
What's not so great: nothing. finding your house. Not being able to click on the map. Nunchuck is not the best way of moving.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am 21 years old and saw this game advertized with a couple of, most likely, equally aged women. Now this is not a product i went out to buy. I came across it at a friends house (his little brother and sister have a wii).
We attempted to play the game expecting a similiar expieriance to Harvest Moon. We were wrong... very wrong. There is very few things that this game offers that are entertaining to a true gamer. The graphics are bad, music is bad, plot is bad, activities (while plentiful) are bad. Now im not gonna hate on this game just because i didnt like it.
I did find it had some great qualities for a younger audience. It was easy to pick up and play, lots of colors, activities a plenty (albeit boring for an adult), and it supports nintendos live speak and online play.
Overall i would only recommend this to a child who doesnt really play a lot of video games but rather enjoys things like webkinz and Club Penguin. Adults should stear clear of this game for they will, if they have any sort of attention span, become bored and possibly angry very quickly.
What's great about it: Entertainable to a younger audience, Lots of stuff to do.
What's not so great: Stuff to do is often teadious and boring, Not mean for a mature audience
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: a lot

I prefer the DS version because I know more people with ds's than Wii's.
What's great about it: great way to have fun with friends over the Wiinet, cute as heck, always something to do
What's not so great: you can only get so far if you don't have other towns to visit
I would recommend this to a friend!
