I'm a "Hellboy" fan and a Ron Perlman fan. Love the first movie. Was skeptical about the second one. Went and bought it without renting it first. Was worried I'd be stuck with a dvd I didn't like. The movie surprised me, I loved it, just as much as the first one, if not more.
I love the fact that Ron Perlman does his own stunts, it's all him. That tells me he cares enough about the fans to make the portayal of his character appear more realistic and believable on screen.
I loved just about everything in this movie except for the scene where Hellboy and Abe sing to a Barry Manilow song: "Can't Smile Without You". Even though it's funny, I think it was shot way too long and they could've left it out. Even though Liz looked tougher in this movie, I like her with longer hair and a more femine side.
I watched all the extra features after I watched the movie. Very interesting how they do everything. Especially the makeup, costumes and the puppeteering. Amazing what people can come up with. For example: The Troll Market. So wild., everywhere you look, you see something new and different. I was glad they didn't make them look like they belonged in "Star Wars". I was really impressed with the "Angel Of Death". Looking back, I think that character stood out to me the most. Looked so real.
I was disappointed that they didn't have any outtakes. I love watching those.
What's great about it: More other worldly creatures
What's not so great: Singing a Barry Manilow song
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hellboy is back and is kicking butts and taking names! With the enemies stronger and there seem to be a lot more Hellboy is up to the task of saving the world! With action, drama, comedy and a little love story on the side this movie delivers!
What's great about it: visuals, acting, humor, everything
What's not so great: nothing

Hellboy 2 is a good combination of the action, adventure and comedy that was present in the first film. The characters in the film each have their quirks that endear themselves to the audience. Of course, some may complain about its cartoonish nature, but then that's the point. It is a fantasy film that is supposed to give a larger than life feel.
What's great about it: A decent sequel
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent film It captures Hellboy in his best, and I love the trolls and the tumor that looks like a baby. Yet now Im hoping for more, I would like to see how Hellboy dose with his twins...
What's great about it: it captures Hellboy in his best love the special effects
What's not so great: it leaves you wanting more
