You know you all love to hate Axl, but truth be told, you'll jam to G'N'R in your car, at the bar, in your iPod or at work, so why not just buy the album that has taken years to make? Yes, he's a "not nice" person, but the music is all we really care about. When I saw them 2 years ago and they performed "Madagascar," it was evident that G'N'R's spirit lives on and lyrically and musically, it's still as good as it ever was. Yes, Slash and the boys aren't there, but music history is loaded with frontmen who become separated from their guitarists and yet they survive. Give it a try, it won't hurt.
What's great about it: Already been leaked for years, so you know the songs well by now
What's not so great: Even this version of G'N'R has switched band members multiple times
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've heard most of the songs on the record. It is am amazing record. Period. Yes, it's taken over a decade for it to be put out; yes, it is different than Appetite for Destruction and that is a good thing because this is 2008!
This album is going to bring rock back where it should be.
Let me tell you all, this record puts Axl Rose/GN'R light years ahead from ANY of the "best" bands that are out now. Guranteed.
Listen to it like it's 2008, and you'll agree with me.
What's great about it: writing/vocals/technicality
What's not so great: ----

Just buy it because it's guns n roses. We've been waiting for last 17 years and this is the most expensive album in the history of mankind. Having no slash doesn't mean its bad. These guys have worked really hard and songs are unique. I think it's an amazing album just to kill some time or outdoor workout.
What's great about it: Axl Rose
What's not so great: No SLash

This record rocks!! this will go platinum in no time for sure iv'e listened to 10 tracks and loved them all my fav's (better,i.r,s,street of dreams,pprostitute) sure it doesnt sound much like the gn'r from the 80s/90s but this is 2008 and its time for somthing new but axl does need to get rid of the braids not a good look for him hahaha.Theres only one problem i have with this record and thats no slash and the original members of gn'r but im sure one day some how, some way they will reunite and once again rock the world.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: no slash,duff,izzy,adler
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you can FORGET the old GNR's and just focus on the songs and the music, its a tight album. Its better than anything Ive heard in years, but with the exception of There Was A Time, it wont remind you of the old GNR. I highly recommend it from everything Ive heard so far. And yes, I will be out there 11/23 to buy my copy also.

only one word to describe the album
amazinggg
to all the people complaining about slash and other ex members.... go to a live show from the new guys awesome......slash is great and that is why axl has 3 guitarists to replace him.... just goes to show how important this album is to axl ....slash can be replaced , even if it takes 3 guitarists..
