I've heard several of the tracks, some in concert and some on the internet. YOU WILL LIKE THIS ALBUM!! I am a major die hard Axl Rose/GNR fan and it rocks!!!!!!!

Axl's back with Guns blazing!!!!!!!

The myth...Chinese Democracy....the most expensive album ever made.....the return of Axl Rose. This is the album the rock world has been waiting for...and rumor has it that there's two more waiting in the wings...from the opening strains of Chinese Democracy .....this album is in a word-Epic.
Every song may not be for all of us....but I guarantee there's something for everyone on this album.....all Guns fans should be able to get into something on here....a few stand outs:
1.Chinese Democracy-A pseudo industrialized sleaze treck thru the Chinese struggle against the Iron Fist of communism...and general rant against oppressive authority at large....a call to arms if you will.
2.Better- A spinning, writhing mash up of mid tempo good ness into a metal breakdown that you're sure to remember....this is an amazing groove....original and intense in it's scope but close enough to vintage Guns that old school fans will dig it.....amazing guitar work!
3.If The World- Latin Tinged, funky R&B with a suprisingly dreamy and poignant falsetto reminiscing of If the World would end today....
4. I.R.S- A sleazy rocking jaunt that shows Axl has still got the unearthly howl that endeared him to millions......the scream is back.
5. Sorry....a grinding classic reeking of betrayal and angst......different from Rose....but original and amazing.....very Floyd meets Zeppelin meets Guns vibe from this one...
6. This I Love-The crown jewel of this album in my opinion...a beautifully haunting piano piece with a heartbroken vocal. Genuine heartbreak.....this is losing the one you love most encapsulated in song.
Those are my personal standouts....I could have reviewed the whole album...as many of the others are quite good as well....but the songs listed above are amazing in my opinion.....if you want to pick up a great album that will take you on a journey.....Buy Chinese Democracy.
What's great about it: Epic Production and Songs...This I Love is THE stand out track of the album...
What's not so great: Wish there were more...

"Democracy" is Appetite for Destruction part 2. Even though it's complex in lyrical content like the Illusions, the song quality rivals their debut release. While Lies was too short and the Illusions too long, "Chinese" is just right. And it delivers, as long as you're open to a new different approach to rock and roll. While the Illusions delivered some quality ballads and rockers, the intensity of the albums was soft. "Chinese" sees GN'R back angry, when they're at their best. Was it worth 17 years? No record is, outside of GN'R's debut and Led Zep iV. But "Chinese" prooves one thing- Axl was and always will be Guns N' Roses.
What's great about it: The songs
What's not so great: No Slash Duff Izzy

Chinese Democracy = The greatest (and only) true solid rock album in the last 15 years or so. Not the poppy Nickelback garbage, not your commercialized Spears. No, Axl Rose and a genuine solid band that blow you away even on the original tunes - and prove themselves genuine rockers in their own right on this album. Buy it! Don't be a biased stuck in the 80's degenerate. The old band is gone, this is the new era GNR. Accept it or leave it.
What's great about it: Real Rock Music
What's not so great: Nothing, Good Music!!!

The band that owned the late 80's returns with a CD that took 17 years to make. Vocalist Axl Rose is the only remaining member, from the multi-platinum selling band. His voice made Guns N' Roses, and it's what makes this CD strong. Songs like There Was a Time", "Madagascar" and the title track "Chinese Democracy" Make this the most exciting release since....well 1987's Appetite for Destruction
What's great about it: after 17yrs Axl brings the rock back!!!
What's not so great: the fact it took 17yrs
I would recommend this to a friend!
