I haven't got to listen to the whole CD yet, but you better believe that I will be there when it is released to get it. I have heard quite a few of the songs though and they are great! I can't wait to have the Cd in my hands.
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: Took to long to come out!

I have had the demos for years, hoping one day Axl would think the material is ready. No more than half my life I have waited and now, Nov 23rd...The world will have no choice but to deal with it. I actually have the full album already, and its great. Everyone should get ready to bow to the master. Track 10, Sorry, is a huge favorite already. Very low key blues/rock song. No digital samples and great guitar work. Any Guns Fans, search the net if you want to hear them now and can't wait until next Sunday.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: That we have to wait for the other two albums now.

Having heard the official track leaks, Shackler's Revenge, Chinese Democracy and now Better, this last week is going to be hard to make it through. All of these songs come at you from a different angle than you thought they would. Who would know what to expect from Axl after all this time, anyays. After repeated listens, the songs do nothing but continue to grow on me.
Having refrained from listening to unofficial leaks, I am so excited to hear the rest and put the whole album on repeat once it's in my hands.
No, it's not the classic lineup. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's not going to happen. Yes, Velvet Revolver probably sounds more like classic GNR than the new GNR will. It's hard to be objective about this album, from either side, but it will be the most important release for sometime. Talent and effort has been poured into it and, even if it is not your thing, one can't deny that fact.
Congrats, Axl.
What's great about it: That it's actually coming out
What's not so great: waiting for the next album

Solid, Solid, Solid. If you heard the leaks, the final mixes are superior. For you old gunner's, if Robin left (why Robin, why?) maybe Slash can fill in, but who really cares? Buy lots and spread the love to friends, family and complete strangers. It's simply brilliant!
What's great about it: The Music
What's not so great: Having to wait for the other 3 CDs

Best CD in the last 10 years

Easily the best CD released in the past 10 years in this genre. Not some "bubblegum" music you instantly like and soon forget though. At first you might just "like" this CD, but let it grow on you . Only then will you start to realize how very special and wonderful this truly epic CD is.

If you are a real fan you`ll love this album. It`s increadible. I have listen to several leaks and I´m really looking forward to have it in my hands. I cannot wait anymore. It´s only other prove that Guns is AXL ROSE and nobody else!!!!. you have to buy it. It`s really great once you listen. waiting for so long was worthy!!!!!

Okay, it's not Appetite for Destruction. But if I were to criticize every album that isn't up to that standard, I'd be exhausted. And while I loved the Use Your Illusion albums, let's face it, there was a lot of filler there. "Get in the Ring" "Shotgun Blues" and "You Ain't the First" only served to lengthen an already epic release.
Like most everyone else, I miss the rest of the band. Izzy especially. He seems to be the unheralded ex-member, but he was a great songwriter, and I feared an album without his influence. What we have with Chinese Democracy is pretty good. Heavy and melancholy, aggressive, but with the ballads to balance it all out. "There Was A Time" and "Madagascar" stand out in what I've heard so far. But what this comes down to is a balancing act. If you compare it to the raw fury of Appetite, Chinese Democracy pales. If you compare it to what is currently dominating the airwaves, it's a masterpiece.
The bottom line here is this: The world needs Axl Rose.
What's great about it: At $11.99 that's less than a dollar for each year we've been waiting
What's not so great: Slash, Duff, and Izzy are not replaceable

I have been a Guns an Roses fan my entire life. I have been waiting for this album for more than half of my life, and it was worth it. I dont think that we need the old band members to have a great c.d., that would be a bonus but not really needed. I seen them in concert in November of 2006 and it was awesome!!!! I cant wait to go buy this c.d. and end my years of anticipation!!!! The songs I have heard are awesome and Im sure they will be number one on the charts!!!!
What's great about it: Axl Rose is back!
What's not so great: Nothing, its great!!!!
