Judging on how bad these songs are...I too would be hesitant to release them. This is just a bad cd. The songs sound dated and generic. The "Sound" is lost. Most will say that this is the NEW GNR. Really? Was Audio Slave the new Soundgarden? Didn't think so. Just goes to prove that Axl needs Slash more than Slash needs Axl.

If you are reading the reviews trying to decide if you should by this album or not. I say - PLEASE try it! It is really worth the money IMHO.
Some bands put out albums that have one or MAYBE two good songs. The majority of the songs on this album are really, really, good. This music is masterful - and Axl's voice fits this perfectly.
Axl has produced some of the best music I have heard in a really long time.
What's great about it: Great music that was worth the wait.

I listened to this album with the ear of a skeptic and I must say that this album is a serious collection of songs. Even the most devout Axl hater must mumble under their breath and shuffle their feet in the sand like an upset toddler after listening. In a generation built on Emo rock and American Idol puppets, this is more than a breath of fresh air, this is category 5 hurricane. Each song has the musical depth that you just don't hear anymore, the lyrics are reflective and unapologetic. It's clear that the album took this long to create because Axl doesn't compromise. Purchase this CD completely confident that all but the lowest common denominator will be thoroughly impressed with this masterful piece of musical art. Listen to it 10 times and each time you'll go deeper into what was purposefully done here, nothing seems to be by accident. There's not a person out there that would not want to hear a few tracks if they saw it sitting on your coffee table, throw on "If the world" followed by "sorry" to leave them speechless. Guns and Roses has set a new bar by which all bands should hope to aspire. I hope I don't have to wait another decade for more.

This album is a gift sent by one of the great rock-gods of all time. Every track is awesome, in its own way. The music is thick and takes many turns. The lyrics are cold and captivating. This is one of the best rock albums I think I have ever listened to. Well worth the wait and the $. Axl crushed it!!! Buckethead's guitar work is as good as it gets.
What's great about it: Incredible album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
