worth the wait. Axl is brilliant. every song is amazing, my favorite is If The World. great album.
What's great about it: EVERYTHING.
What's not so great: only the wait.

All I can say is Awesome!!!! People that are in love with Slash may not admit it but this album is great. Do yourself a huge favor and go out and buy the album and do not listen to all these people on here that are just being negative because Slash is not in the band anymore.

One of the best albums I have heard in years! I've waited so long for this album to come out, that I thought I'd be dead before it ever hit the stores. The wait was worth every minute. The entire album has a depth and feel to it that incorporates the sound that we've all come to love with a new current, contemporary edgy feel. Buckethead's guitar sounds are fantastic, Axl is in full vocal form, and the lyrics are great. You will love the beautiful and melodic track "This I Love." It's easy to tell that these songs were all ever so carefully arranged and masterfully written. I am very impressed. This album is iPod worthy!
What's great about it: Originality, Great Sound
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ive been a huge gnr fan from day one , Im an artist and a musician as well and to say Chinese Democracy doesnt stand up to the GnR name is insane . Once again Axle Rose has created a great sounding album to add to guns n roses list of greats . From the first track to the last I personally would have to say its my favorite second GnR album since appetite . But they are all great in my book so thanks Guns & Roses cant wait for the tour !!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT STILL HAS THAT GUNS N' ROSES RING TO IT. I AM SO IMPRESSED THAT WITHOUT A SINGLE OTHER MEMBER OF THE BAND TO CONTRIBUTE, AXL STILL HAS THAT GUNS SOUND. HATS OFF TO THE NEW MEMBERS FOR HELPING KEEP THE OLD SOUND AND ALSO FOR THE NEW SOUND AS WELL. LISTEN TO IT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, LISTEN TO IT AGAIN. IF AFTER LISTENING TO IT A FEW OR MORE TIMES YOU STILL DON'T LIKE IT GIVE IT TO A FRIEND. IT'S THE BEST GUNS TO DATE. BACK IN 1986 I BOUGHT APPETITE FROM A HIT PARADER MAGAZINE BEFORE IT WAS STUDIO RELEASED, FOR .50 CENTS MAKING MYSELF ONE OF THE FIRST TO HEAR IT. TAKE IT FROM A REAL GUNS FAN THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM TO DATE.
FOR PEOPLE WHO REALLY LOVE AND APPRECIATE THE ARTISTS WE SHOULD THANK AXL AND GUNS FOR GIVING US ANOTHER GREAT PIECE OF ART TO SOOTHE OUR LISTENING CRAVINGS! GOOD JOB!!!!!!!

I have all the GNR cd's like most people. Axl put together some great tracks. People may start to compare this to the old GNR but the fact is that Slash and the other guys quick so who cares about them. As a matter of fact, this cd proves Axl was the real talent in the band. The voice man! Great! I bought my copy for $9.99 so it was even better. Hopefully GNR puts out more music! "This I Love" was awesome, not like "November Rain" but close!
What's great about it: The music is great
What's not so great: more tracks would've been nice

I've listened to Chinese Democracy 4 times in the last 24 hours. There is no doubt that this recording introduces an epic vocal performance from Axl Rose. The range and intensity of his vocals are the most compelling I've heard since Chris Cornell in the 1st Audioslave offering. What is missing is the singular guitar riffs from Slash. Buckethead does some good work here, but the truth is that without the presence of brilliant guitar play, this album is about the vocals. All in all it is an excellent piece of work.
What's great about it: The range, the style, the intensity
What's not so great: It's the Axl Rose show

So I'm going to be completely honest. Let me start out by saying I am A HUGE G N' R's fan and I was the one around my town telling everyone to give it a chance and it will be good cause it's Axl Rose and he is a musical genius. Well after listening to the full album numerous times, I have to say the album is sub-par. Axl really should have called this band the Axl Rose project, cause it is nothing at all like the Guns of old, and unfortunately no matter how hard Axl tries to get out of the the shadow of his former band with the same name, he never will. I still love Guns N' Roses and nothing will ever change that, so I will wait, wait like the rest of the true Guns fans for a future album that will hopefully even come close to their days as the World's Most Dangerous Band. :-( RIP G N' R

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
