Awesome camera

Very impressed by this camera. Picture quality is great even in low light, even in full zoom they are good. The HD video is amazing, as good as a dedicated hand held video camera. Battery life is very good as well. Big zoom with awesome picture quality and great battery life. GPS and Wi-Fi are the icing on the cake.

Outstanding point and shoot

This camera will rival most dslr cameras with its picture quality. The wi-fi feature works great and downloads are easy to complete wirelessly. The 30x zoom is smooth and responsive. I really like the ability to take pictures in low light without a flash. A viewfinder would be nice but it is the same price as the camera, not cost effective at this time. A great camera overall.
What's great about it: picture quality, wi-fi, zoom, ease of use
What's not so great: hard to see monitor in bright sun
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing camera in such s small size!

This is an amazing camera for the size. The 30x optical zoom is fantastic. Add wireless, tons of modes and a pocket size and you've got a winner. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is how long it takes to save each picture. Even when I reduce the picture size, it still takes a long time. And shooting multiple images and saving those images is painful. It's so easy to miss a shot. I've invested in the fastest memory card available but that didn't make a difference. My old Canon which is 3x as heavy and less optical zoom is super fast compared to this camera, But I put up with it because the zoom and other features make it a killer camera. It takes beautiful pictures, the battery lasts a long, long time. Even with the flash. The video works great, the screen must be set to it's brightest to see in bright daylight. There is a viewfinder available as an option, but it's more expensive than the camera. I wish the camera were a little larger, had a view finder built in and saved the pictures MUCH faster. But all that is still minor compared to the awesome pic quality, incredible size and features and huge zoom.
LOVE THIS CAMERA!! Towers over any Nikon Coolpix!!

I absolutely LOVE this camera. I purchased it last August after the last of a series of Nikon Coolpix camera died of their routine "lens error disease". I live in Florida...the Nikon cameras were rendered useless in the hot temperatures and humidity. This Sony Cyber-shot, however, has not failed in the least - functioning with excellence in all dry weather conditions.
So many positive things to say about this camera, the 30X zoom lens being at the top of the list. It allows for crisp, clear shots from great distances. A variety of settings allows great pictures in all sorts of light. Captured colors are vivid and clear. Love the 10-pic bursts!

Hi Berndog, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review on this Sony camera, we appreciate it. We're glad that you are happy and satisfied. Thank you for choosing Sony.
This is the best camera I have ever had. The 30X zoom is what sold me on the camera. I no longer have to lug around bags full of lens to get the shot I want.
I had a previous model and the electrical blew out so I purchased a replacement. Love the camera - relatively lite and the telephoto is phenominal for such a compact camera - It has lots of app tho I only use a few but takes great pics. I use it primarily for sporting events (Basketball and Football) and it takes great shots.
