I love this movie! Although long, it is one of my favorite movies. I just bought a Blu Ray player and decided to buy the Blu Ray version of this movie. I think it was a waste of money! The Blu Ray player enhances older dvd's to look crisper and brighter. Ive watched other movies on my player and seen no difference in the two. I advise to not waste your $10-$20 extra just cuz it says Blu Ray on it. But do buy this movie!

What's great about it: The movie as a whole. Christian Bale as Batman, and Heath Ledger as the Joker!

I would recommend this to a friend!

Good movie, weak DVD.

My problem isn't the movie, it's with the lack of DVD features. I wanted to see behind the scenes footage and bloopers. You don't see those kind of bonuses anymore. Maybe directors are afraid it'll ruin the movie's image.

I paid about $10 more for this second disc. Here's what that got me:

- A montage of stills with a guy talking about what he was trying to convey with his music composition.

- A montage of stills and some video about the evolution of Batman's suit and gear with director commentary. The creation of the "Bat-pod" was kind of interesting, at least.

- 6 scenes from the movie in IMAX format. Yawn...

- Production stills gallery. This is what the internet is for.

- A bunch of fake news coverage. I've seen better on YouTube.

- A digital copy of the movie. No thanks, I downloaded that months ago.

These "features" could have easily been fit onto one disc.

What's great about it: The feature presentation.

What's not so great: The DVD extras.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!

This is perhaps the greatest film in the past 20 years. An epic tale, moreso than superhero vs. villain, this movie digs at your brain and makes you question the very nature of evil. What happens when an unstopable force meets an unmovable object? The Dark Knight answers that question.

What's great about it: The ultimate movie for Blu Ray. One of the best movies to ever hit theaters!

First movie is epic......second movie is art

Batman Begins was a huge hit with the new Batman. it has created a new image for Batman. In "The Dark Knight" Batman has created a wave of enthusiasm through america with Michael Caine perfected the role of Alfred and Heath Ledger as the joker and have brought new images to their characters. If some one is to say "Alfred" i immediately think Michael Caine. the unfortunate death of Heath ledger is awful for his life and the perfected joker.

What's great about it: Epic action and beautifully performed

What's not so great: Heath Ledger's death forces casting to get a perfected joker for the next movie.
