The Dark Knight was a very good movie. I am not a huge batman fan or anything and did not know what to expect with watching this movie. When it came out on blu-ray I decided to get it and it was amazing. The acting and the plot of the movie were so creative and interesting that you did not have to be a fan of batman to be into this movie. The movie overall was much more exciting than I expected. It also sounded really good with my home theater system which made the movie even more exciting.
What's great about it: Everything
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Batman movie ever made!

The followup to Batman Begins, with the same director & most of the same players from that film, more than deserves the praise it has gotten.
Batman (Bale) now finds himself facing the Joker (Heath Ledger, who accomplished the impossible by forever extinguishing the memory of Jack Nicholson's Joker from the Burton film). At the same time, Bruce finds himself championing Gotham City's new D.A. Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), who has become involved with Bruce's childhood friend Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal).
This film is perhaps the most tragic superhero film ever made.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great storyline, great acting, best of the year in my book. Action and drama through out. Oscar winning performances. Get this one for your collection!!

Gotta have this in your movie collection. Awesome plot and storyline filled with action and life questions about one's morals. Great movie to have and you can't be disappointed!
What's great about it: Batman Just Kicks Butt!

omg i luvthis movie especially the joker.this joker even looks more like real. cause before the other jokers face, the paint was perfect and now its not

This movie was absolutely amazing!!! This is at the top of my wife and I's list of greatest movies ever made! Not to take away from Batman Begins, but this one was better. (But then again, it's really just one movie in two parts.) I personally have to be honest, when I heard Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker, I was upset. Not only because he had never really played a bad guy (Ned Kelly doesn't count), but because I didn't think he would live up to Jack Nicholson's Joker. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I eat my words, but he surpassed J.N.'s Joker! Don't get me wrong, I'll always love and appreciate J.N.'s Joker. But, H.L.'s Joker was much darker and more sinister, as he was originally meant to be. I also thought they did an outstanding job, (not only character wise, but special effects wise), with Two-Face. I love the new Batman films because they've started all over, making the films more dark and serious the way they were intended. Much like the Punisher, Batman was always suppose to be a sort of a bad good guy. Not the comedical Batman of the past, or the goofy Batman from the 50s and 60s spoofs. This is the REAL Batman, as it was intended! Heath Ledger actually was so into character that it messed with him mentally, and eventually led to his untimely death (allegedly). But, he will live on in this film. The performance of a lifetime, he will be missed! This is a must own movie, I highly recommend!!! I also recommend Batman Begins and look forward to the Dark Knight sequel. (From what I understand, Johnny Depp will take the role of the Riddler, I can't wait!)
What's great about it: Christian Bale and Heath Ledger!
What's not so great: Not enough stars to rate this movie!!! (The untimely loss of Heath Ledger.)

This is the best Batman movie by far! No offense to Jack Nicholson, but Heath Ledger's got you beat. He gave hie life for this role and will always be remembered for that. Christian Bale is the best Batman, and best actor! If you haven't seen it yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Don't rent it, BUY IT!!! You'll want to see it over and over and over and over... And if you haven't seen Batman Begins, you're missing out!
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: Heath Ledger will be missed!

I can't say it is the best Batman... just could not compare to Jack Nicholson. But this movie did kick butt and deserved to be owned on blu-ray for best quality. =)
