This card was part of a kit, so it was really cheap. However, when i started using the card, i realized that this card is insanely slow at writing photos. You have to wait around 3 seconds for the camera to stop saying recording. However since it was part of the kit, i can't complain. But if you're buying the card separately, cough up a few bucks and get a better card.
What's great about it: 8GBs
What's not so great: Write speed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good capacity, not so great for repetitive shots

I use this in my Canon Rebel T2i, and it's great for regular shots. If you're taking a lot of quick shots, though, it takes a while for the photos to be written on the card. The in-between time from when you take the shot until it's finished writing it makes you lose some valuable shots. If you're taking sports or other fast-action photos, I'd recommend getting another card; for regular shots, though, go for this one.

Don't buy a class 2 memory card. They are slow. Especially with digital cameras that have 10 mega pixel or more you will wait several seconds before each picture saves. Get a class 6.

In the course of a day, I take many photos. Not having to switch out memory sticks on a regular basis and continue taking photos is a definite advantage.
What's great about it: Easy to insert
What's not so great: So small, it could get lost easily

It has a quick read/write time in camera and to the computer. In a 15 meg. camera it holds about 1000 pictures, 230 in RAW
