My noise cancelling earbuds quit working at 14 months. Bose has sent me a replacement even though the warranty has expired! These are the best noise cancelling on the market! I am definitely a satisfied customer.

Great sound & noise cancel. Fragile microphone

I just picked up my 4th pair of these earphones and love them. I have some hearing loss and spend most of my work time in conference calls and it is difficult for me to understand a lot of what people say unless I am in a perfectly quiet room. I use these as a headset and they are the only headset of the dozens I've tried that not only help me participate in these meetings in a normal room, but have had no trouble in a crowded train terminal, driving with the windows down, etc. The only issue I have is that the microphone has issues for the way I use these.
For the most part the microphone is fine, but any high pitched noise in the background such as my parakeet 2 rooms away will be picked up so much that it will cause others on the call to comment that it is distracting. That is just an annoyance however and I can just mute my phone when not speaking.
The biggest problem though is that I am on my 4th pair because the microphone starts to die. The first signs have occurred as early as 6 months after purchase and as late as 11 months after purchase. For this reason, I buy the earphones with the insurance protection where possible. When the microphone performance drops and I actually have to hold the microphone between my teeth when I speak so others can hear me while I control my computer for whatever I'm presenting. They complain they can't hear me and that I sound very far away. I still have my first pair from when I had a blackberry and use it to listen to music through all of this time because they are so good and save use of my headset pair to try to extend its microphone life as long as possible for my work calls.
The ear inserts are phenomenal as well. I frequently will have to wear these 10 hours in a day and would be in agony if they weren't so comfortable. But they are comfortable enough that even after a long day like that, I'll continue to wear them to listen to music to fall asleep.
One final thing that I would find very useful is if there were a way to use the side button on the microphone to act as a microphone mute/unmute button. If I need to hear something while I have noise cancelling on, I just yank one of the earphones out reflexively. However in long meeting when using the headset, someone will ask a question directed to me and I'll be scrambling to unlock my phone to unmute my microphone to respond. It would be so nice to just reach up and press the side button on my headset.

Pretty Good Headphones

These are great for keeping sound out and stay in the ear pretty well.
My complaint is that where the left and right part split/connect should be longer and farther away so when you are wearing them to sleep there is more room to move around and they would not sit so close to your neck. The way they are makes them slightly uncomfortable while you are sleeping because of this.
Also, you can hear talking on a plane pretty clearly. Not sure why.

The good - Great sound for earbuds. Very good noise cancellation.
The bad - Cord is too short, e.g. on Cathay Pacific business class seats, the earphone jack is too far for the earphones to be worn comfortably when plugged in. In addition, the short bit of cord where the earphone jack is connected to the main body is ridiculously short, and should also have been made detachable with a socket on the body so that it can be replaced easily, or with a longer cord. I have seen people getting out of their plane seats forgetting to unplug the earphones and breaking the jack. Necessitating expensive repair.

Nice size, but really terrible plug

I've had three over the ear Bose headphones before, but I didn't enjoy carrying them around when traveling. The QC 20 are perfect in terms of size, and even though the noise cancelling isn't as good as the over the ear models, the size more than makes up for the shortcoming. However, the headphone jack is of very low quality. Mine fell apart at the jack, in multiple places, exposing the multiple wires (2 red, 2 green, 1 white, and strands of unshielded coper) and the reinforcement threads. This renders the earphones essentially useless.

Great sound but didn't last

I got this about 5 months ago and the sound quality is amazing but after 2 months the control module stopped working and then around a week ago sound stop coming out of the left earbud

Fantastic product.

I read many reviews regarding these headphones. I own a pair of over the ear Bose noise canceling headphones which I love. The only problem I find is when traveling. The case takes up quite a bit of space.
Now with the QC20 headphones I get the same amount of quality noise canceling along with great music playback. They are definitely worth the money.

Absolutely Love!

I bought these for travel and for studying and they've been amazing! I usually have trouble with these short of ear buds but these fit great and never hurt my ears even when I wear them for hours. The noise cancelling feature is great and lasts for awhile between charges. Yes, they were a bit pricy but for as much as I use them, it's been worth it!
