Incredible

I've had these for a year and can't live without them. When I get on a flight or a train in Europe etc. I immediately turn them on and turn on some music.
You literally hear nothing around you.
The flight attendants typically get impatient Because they have to wave in front of me. I thoroughly enjoy it because I am in my own world. I've told many friends and everyone thanks me later.
Can't recommend them enough and no I don't work for them.

Excellent product

I bought this more than a year ago and have used it in different situations.
Pros:
1. Very compact to carry in my bag or travel. Virtually takes no space at all.
2. Sturdy wires, much better compared to what I received with my iPhone (but then again, iPhone EarPods cost 30$).
3. Minimal tangling of the wires, makes it a pleasure to even carry them in my pocket.
4. Very secure fit.
5. Excellent noise cancelling, while commuting as well as in all situations, like just walking in a mall and talking on my mobile, the external noise is so little that I don't have to crank up the phone volume at all.
6. As with all Bose products, sound quality is excellent when the noise cancelling is turned on but not so good when the noise cancelling is switched off or battery is dead. This is not a big deal for me or a deal breaker. That is the only con I can describe.
7. Waiting for wireless version of these ear phones and will replace them.
Cons:
1. Pricey.
2. Sound quality is not so good when the noise cancelling is switched off or battery is dead. Hope Bose improves on this.

Best travel money you can spend if you fly often

I started out ages ago with a set of QC-15s, and I absolutely loved them for travel, which was my primary use. The one complaint I had about them was that it is difficult to sleep on an airplane with big over-the-ear cans on your head. Then the QC-20 came out and my needs were finally met.
Lets be honest, despite Bose claims, acoustically, these are good, but not great. They're probably in the mid-rage for acoustic quality, better than dollar store earbuds, not even close to approaching a good set of Shure or Etymotics, though.
However, I have tried and bought many ANR headsets over the years and nothing really comes close to the Bose noise cancelling setup. And that's why you buy these, and why you pay a premium for them (beyond the typical Bose inflated costs). The noise cancelling on these IS the bar that others try to reach, but pretty much always fall short.
They cancel out so much of that awful drone in-flight, on the train, or just about anywhere, and they do so without having to shove tight fitting foam or rubber tips into your ear canals. The rubber tips are super comfortable to wear. I've worn mine upwards of 16 hours before without complaint. The foam tip buds like my Shures I can only wear for a couple hours at a time before they start to hurt my ear canals.
My only complaint about the QC-20 is that they're cabled, not bluetooth. Bose answered that need also with the new QC-30, however, the QC-30 has significantly less battery life. I fly to Asia often, and the 16+ hour battery life of my QC-20 lasts the entire flight. The 10 hour battery life of the QC-30 means I'll run out of juice before I've even crossed the Pacific.
So for me, I'll probably keep my QC-20s (and maybe buy a newer pair as a back up one day) and find a decent bluetooth adapter for them so I can enjoy the battery life. If Bose updates the QC-30 to extend battery life to 16 hours minimum, I'll certainly consider upgrading.

Bought a pair of refurbished CQ20i buds from the Bose factory store. The folks working there are great and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Bought them for a trip to Paris. Wore them the whole time over and back and they never got uncomfortable. All the airplane noise and the crying baby two aisles away just went away when I flipped on the noise canceling feature.

I've had this product for 1.5 yrs and the comfort is truly phenomenal. One thing I always love about bose earphones is that I can wear them for hours without a hint of fatuigue or discomfort. These little things will never heat up your ears or itch them, they just stay up and never falls. Another thing I've always had for bose is its noise cancelling technology. True to its words, it might be the best noise-cancelling product in the entire world as of now, you wear this thing on, turn on ANC mode and everything just quiets down, if there's ever any concern I've had for BOSE, maybe it's too good of a noise-canceller that sometimes I have to put the headphone off in case I can't hear the ambience around me.
As far as sound quality goes, its pretty good. It isn't that common to refer to noise-cancellers as good sounding but its true to some extent---the bass goes pretty low, at least as far as my ears can go, mids are OK and highs are a bit lost or rolled off, but hey! We're talking about noise-cancellers here! They aren't supposed to sound nice but they really do! I love them!

The most amazing headphones i have ever used

So the most liked negative review complained about the price. Look, I have other bose, and beats headphones, and these by far are my favorite, and yes they are expensive, but the moment you put these in your ears you will realize exactly why. I can not imagine the engineering that took place to make these things because the noise cancelling is almost unbelievable. If you can not justify spending that much on head phones look for factory refurbished pair at a bose outlet store. that's what i did and they were super helpful and very cool.
