Worth every penny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these headphones. 16 hours of battery life and when the battery dies you can still listen without the noise canceling feature. So you are never without sound. Worth every penny.

Great if you're not moving, otherwise annoying

I bought these a few weeks ago, but had to return within a few days. First off, if you're not moving these are amazing ear buds, and the noise cancellation is excellent.
However, started to walk around and the cable housing creates a hugely distracting scraping noise that reverberates into the ear buds (when using noise cancelling). Simply unacceptable given the cost and supposed quality of the device. Additionally, the cable and battery configuration is really poorly thought out - you have to keep the battery right next to your phone, rather than providing enough cord and placement that would be more flexible for different use cases.
Finally, MOTORCYCLISTS listen up. Purchased this to help reduce noise and listen to music in my helmet. The noise cancelling FAILS at speeds above 50 mph. Not just fails, but creates an incredibly uncomfortable (and honestly painful) ear popping sound as the mic tries to compensate for the wind noise. So bad, that I had to emergency exit the freeway and take out the ear buds.
So, really unfortunately - I had high hopes for Bose. Had other products that have been "sound" but this experience will push me away from their tech.

Not worth the price

I purchased these on the recommendation of a friend. The sound quality at higher volumes breaks up and cracks. The piece of cord, with the plug, that comes out of the battery is way too short. They really are not that impressive. I gave away my QC15 Bose headphones, which were the best. Now I'm stuck.

Our products are built to last and to provide excellent sound quality. It is possible that dust or a low battery can be causing the cracking that you are describing. Using compressed air to blow out the ports on the earbuds and ensuing that the battery is charged may help.

Perfect for travelin or commuting

Did not use them for a few months cause i thought they looked weird (i was 12 at the time).Now 3 years later i enjoy these everyday from listening to music to walking around the city these are perfect.Highly recommended for anyone although the prize is quite high (For a 14yr. old like me).

It can make funny low frequency noises.

I used these on a trip to Japan. I prefer the over-the-ear headphones for the plane trip but these work pretty well and sound good as well. They were much more convenient on this trip because I could shove them in my pocket and use them while traveling around the city as well.
The problem I have is that it can take subsonic low-frequency noises on the bus and the train and shift them to audible frequencies while riding on the bus or train. My guess is the noise canceling circuitry just can't handle certain subsonic frequencies. I would hope they would figure this out for how expensive these are.
Also, the short cord from the plug to the battery pack is a little too short.

Love my QC20's!

After using two "over the ear" QC products, I always wanted the "earbud" option, and you delivered EXACTLY what I was looking for! This is an excellent product, it holds a charge for a 15 hour plane flight, and the sound is incredible. Well done, Bose!

Very great earbuds

I brought this a couple months ago and this is probably the best earphone i ever had. The sound quality is clear. The comfort is great. The design is good but the materials are very cheap looking. The Durability is good. The Noise cancellation is excellent. Overall, this product is superb and i would never regret buying it even though it is overpriced.
