Great range

This is my first foray out of the Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore world of appliances, and so far, I'm really happy. It's a better design, has better features, cleans up easier, and has more even temps in the oven.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This range is beyond worth every dime. I have never been a big cook but I have found myself cooking more than i ever have. The cook top is amazing with the 5 burners. You can boil water in just a couple minutes. The oven is huge and you can fit your largest cookie sheets in it. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to purchase a new stove.

Really nice, effective, affordable, and large capacity GAS range.

This is a really nice, effective, and affordable GAS range. I did, however, have a faulty control board right out of the box but the manufacturer's warranty covered the cost of a brand new (not refurbished) replacement control board and it has worked great ever since. Normally I just would have had the store replace it, but it sat in the box for 1 1/2 while my kitchen was being remodeled.
It has an extremely large capacity which is definitely a plus for larger families and the fifth burner is a nice addition as well. It even came with a pancake griddle. The burners are protected well enough to where spilled food won't clog your burners and everything comes apart easily for cleaning. It also has a self clean cycle that you can run to clean the oven.
I could have chosen any gas range that I wanted because I was not limited as to space requirements or height. I decided to go with Samsung and have been very happy ever since. I chose ALL Samsung appliances for my new kitchen. As I said before though, I did get frustrated with the faulty control board so I decided to purchase the 5yr Samsung Protection Plus warranty just to be safe. Even the warranty was very affordable for a total of 6 years of protection including the Manufacturer's warranty.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product, especially for larger families like mine.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, large capacity, easy to clean, self clean cycle, worth the money, 5 burners

I love how seamless the stainless steel flows on this freestanding range! It comes with preprogrammed features such as dehydrating and bread proofing. It lets you save up to 3 of your favorite cook settings. Stunning design meets convenient utility. Thank you for another great product Samsung!

This was a replacement range, but when it arrived it would not push all the way back to the wall do to the design in the back. Also, the grill portion is not as good as it looks, the grill works better on the outside burners then in the middle burner as it was suppose to be designed for.
Back burners do not put off as much BTU as you might think.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Range

We needed a new range right before Christmas. I jumped online to do my research and had actually found a similar Samsung range that we had intended on purchasing. That is until we came across this one in the store. It was on sale for slightly more than the original range we intended to purchase which was 1/3 the list price for this one. It was a no brainer.
Anyway what sold it for us was the size of the oven which is huge with a large viewing window, the more powerful burners and the slide out rack. The all stainless steel surface cleans easily - much more easily than the typical porcelain top ranges we've owned.
The oven heats up quickly and holds and maintains temperature quite well. One of the things I like is the "door open" warning you get if you leave the door open too long.
The burners are powerful and provide a wide range of cooking temperature options. I've seen several complaints about being unable to find a "simmer" burner...Well, this range actually has two. The center burner with the griddle is great for foods like pancakes or bacon. The nonstick griddle cleans up easily.
My only complaint is that the display panel. If there is any sort of glare it makes it very difficult to read. The background is stainless and the letters are black. Not a clever design. But the controls are easy to use and I like the fact that you actually have to press and hold the touch pad for 3 seconds to avoid accidental shut off or temperature adjustment.
Pros: cleans easily, oven holds temperature well and cooks evenly, large oven capacity, versatile burners
Cons: display panel can be difficult to read

Spontaneously stops working

Bought this less than three years ago only to have the oven spontaneously stop working...stovetop works fine, digital area too, but can't get the oven working. Unbelieveable after less than three years of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am sold on Samsung products. I now own Samsung tv, surround sound, blue ray player, fridge and now happily I have added our range. The range works great. The temperature in the oven hold well and the power burner and simmer burner are great! Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with samsung
