New range works as advertised!

Just received my range yesterday, 9/21/17. Looks all new, nothing damaged, missing. It operates according to the manual. Have not used it yet. I have turned it on both stove and oven. Let stove on for 30 min. as required, to burn off the new smell. So far I'm very impressed and satisfied. One question I did have is, the manual states for all flames to be blue. Mine are at low settings, but at higher settings the tips turn yellow/orange. Is this normal? Should it always be blue regardless of settings? I'll write another review in a couple of months.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight

Great gas range

We have not had the range for long but it was easy to install and is easy to operate. Seems high quality so far. Hope it lasts for many years.

Switched from electric to gas stove and am really impressed by the power on this range. Oven controls were very easy to figure out. The only thing we don't love are the garish red marks on the stove dials, but I guess that helps with safety.

Great Features!

I had an electric stove range when I grew up and had it in my 2 other houses before I bought my current house. I replaced the old gas range for this Samsung one last May. I love to cook on griddle for breakfast meal and grilled cheese sandwiches. I love to use a wok grate for my wok. I love to keep the bread/rolls in the warming drawer. I love everything what this Samsung gas range has the features.

Gas Knob Stuck In On Position.

front burner is stuck in on position so my husband had to pull stove out and shut off the gas leaving us without a stove for almost 2 weeks now. this is a major expensive inconvenience.

Control Panel Overheats

all 4 appliances we purchased 5 years ago have broken in the last 3 years progressively. we're very disappointing in samsung.

First Impression is Very Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just received delivery on our Samsung gas range and I have some initial thoughts. First, the range itself is lighter than our old one. I think that the past 30 years have seen changes in thought about the necessity of using higher gauges of steel in appliances. In one way, I like the fact that I can easily pull the range out of its niche if necessary. On the other hand, I sigh when I think of how sturdily appliances like this were built in the past. I do believe, however, that the lighter-gauged steel will not be a problem.
The overall appearance of the range is clean and uncluttered. We chose white to match our other appliances in our all-white kitchen. We love the continuous grate instead of individual burner grates. Pans can be moved around without lifting. I don't know the BTU rating on the burners on our old stove, but we like the variety of heat output at the different burners. I have noticed that the sound of the burners is higher than on our old range, but I can't really compare since the old range is gone. We have not yet used the griddle, but very much appreciate the inclusion of this add-on to the range. We also have not yet used the self-cleaning function.
The oven heats much more quickly than the old range, to 375 in 8 minutes, a comparative world record in our experience. We haven't used the oven convection feature yet, so can't comment on that. The storage drawer at the bottom is quite shallow and we cannot store the pans we used to in the old oven. However, this does provide more room in the oven.
I might add to this--and this could be standard these days--the leveling feet are made from high-impact plastic, which means they don't leave marks after being moved. The old range had steel feet, which left metallic scratches on our tile when it was moved.
