Design and works

The design is similiar to every other stove. Large burners in the front small at the rear. Not very user friendly for reaching over hot pots in front. Fast boil burner only is fast on the large pot setting. Largest burner is too big for most pots and pan bottoms. The temperature is difficult to control. When turned down it does not respond quickly, it takes long to go down so you have to move the pan to prevent burning. Glass top is hard to make streak free even with stove top cleaner which I use regularly.
Oven light next to oven off button bad placement. Merely brush the controls on the front and they light up. No off button to turn off. Convection oven does not cook as fast as advertised, in fact it takes longer than regular bake. I have yet to have a successful cake in the time recommended by recipe. My previous stove was perfect every time.
If you like to cook and bake don't get this stove.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Knobs turn on if you brush against them
on December 31, 2014
Posted by: StoveHater
Did not lean against the knobs, I simply brushed against them. Had the unit 3 days, accidentally turned on burners twice. Not good. Also, you CANNOT CHILDPROOF THESE KNOBS!!! The way they go on the stove, there's no way to do it. Samsung confirmed this via live chat. My only option is to remove the knobs and only attach them when i'm using the stove. Or climb under the cabinet and unplug the unit when not in use, as suggested by Samsung. Freaking splendid idea Samsung, thanks! Problem #2: soup bubbles (soft boil) on the lowest burner setting. Samsung's response: common problem, don't worry about it. Well, every other stove I have used over the past 40 years never made soup bubble on the lowest setting (below a 2). I wish I could throw this stove back at Samsung, but I can't since my countertops were built around the stove. I'm really sad that I spend so much money on a product that I hate.

Don't waste your money

Talk about buyer's remorse. I was nervous about buying a glass topped range and now know it was for good reason. I went out and bought brand new pots and pans to avoid any potential scratches and still have a scratch after my very first time using it. Unbelievable. I was super paranoid about not moving the pan, making sure both surfaces were perfectly clean and spotless and still - a scratch my very first use. I'm realistic and knew scratches might be in my future but certainly not on the maiden voyage. On top of the clearly scratch prone surface, it's very apparent the touch pad controls aren't meant to last. The vent for the oven is directly below the touch pad controls. I ran the oven at 400 degrees for 1 hour per the owner's manual after installation and even an hour after the stove had cooled off, the touch pad was still too hot to touch. I've never been so unhappy with a purchase.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, scratch prone, awful design, expensive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worse Appliance Ever Brought Into Our Home
on December 20, 2014
Posted by: Eatoutjoe

Had it 2 months & already realize it was a huge purchase mistake. Afraid to cook on the ceramic cooktop. We can find NO WAY to clean it. Water boiled over twice while cooking pasta & shrimp, & we can find NO WAY to clean the mess. Top already looks like it has had 10 years of hard use. Bought the special ceramic cooktop cleaner & pads, etc., but they are totally useless. Cannot fathom why they put a top on a stove that is so delicate &/or impossible to clean. Will keep us from EVER buying another product with a Samsun label.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst design of any stove
on August 29, 2015

Absolutely the worst design of any stove I have ever had, making the stove difficult to use.
1. Accidentally touching the burner control knobs while reaching for a pot on a back burner will turn it on causing a burner to get hot without realizing it.
2. The dual large/small burner control knob start at HI and go to LOW in both directions, requiring one to pass back through the HI setting to turn the burner off when cooking in LOW.
3. One must always lock the control panel to avoid accidentally changing a setting or shutting off the oven entirely while baking when reaching for something on a back burner.
4. The contents of the drawer located beneath the oven get very hot when baking, making the drawer useless.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oven drops 35 degrees when you open the door

We were so excited about our new stove but the oven doesn't heat properly, won't retain heat and doesn't cook properly. We looked it up and this is a known problem for this model back to 2010. Samsung, I'm so dispointed and won't be buying anymore Samsung appliances. I shouldn't be having a repair call when the oven has only been used 3 times!

Cooktop Space is Huge

This Samsung range is a replacement for a previous high end slide-in, and it beats it in every way. The cooktop is very large, as is the oven which includes three shelves. The range has very powerful burners, and a completely smooth cooking surface, which seems to conduct heat to the pans better than my last range. This is my first convection range, and I was able to cook three trays of cookies at the same time, saving me over half and hour. Overall, I am still learning all the features, but I am very satisfied with my purchase. Lastly, I should not fail to mention that the range is beautiful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Professional Design and Cooking Results

If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would. The design is beautiful giving it a high end built in professional look. I love to cook and so far am delighted with the results My first bake with the convection oven was an angel food cake that was high, evenly baked and finished 10 minutes earlier than usual. The "fast boil" burners are just that...a large pot of potatoes started boiling in about 1 minute. Even though my cooktop is electric the response time to adjustments in temperature is very fast making is close to gas which I prefer but is unavailable in my area.
I shopped a long time for a new range. The Samsung's design, features and functionality makes it and extremely excellent value.
I would recommend this to a friend!
