This soundtrack is a perfect mixture of oldies and modern with a great balance of upbeat and low key. It was fun and made me want to see the movie even more!
What's great about it: Fun and Funny
What's not so great: Not so great for a workout or intense housework, since some of it is low key.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really enjoyed this cd! It was very mello, calm, and easy to enjoy. I like to play it as background noise during my day. Plus I hadn't heard of most of these songs, so it was nice to get a sample of some new artists.
What's great about it: relaxing mix, enjoyable
What's not so great: no complaints!

Perfect Chick Flick Soundtrack

I've been playing this CD ever since I got it! Like any good chick flick, the soundtrack has highs and lows. Some songs are upbeat and bouncy, and make me want to dance around the living room. Others are more low key...perfect for sitting around, ruminating on what the heck is UP with that guy you're seeing. I cant wait to see how these songs are placed within the movie, because they really encompass the entire spectrum of dating and relationship emotions.
There's plenty of oldie and goody artists on the soundtrack (like R.E.M., Talking Heads, The Black Crowes, Maroon 5, and The Cure). But there's also lots of newcomers..and even a fabulous performance by Scarlett Johansson! That's one of the things I love the most about this soundtrack...one minute I'm tapping my toes to an artist I've never been introduced to. The next minute I'm dancing around in a teenage memory fog to The Cure. It's fabulous!
What's great about it: variety of music, oldies and newbies
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most of the time when I buy a sound track cd there are always songs I'll skip. While this one holds to the tradition I was suprised that there are only one or two songs that fit into that catagory. And that, in the right mood, I'll even listen to those. The songs flow very well from one to the other. No strange jumps in genre like some have. It's become a regular in the line up in my car.
What's great about it: Great line up of songs
What's not so great: A couple not so great songs
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved the mixture of music on this soundtrack. From The Ting Tings to the Talking Heads to Scarlett Johansson, this soundtrack is the epitomy of any good girl movie! Definitely a keeper!

Finally-music for adults!

The music is a fantastic mix of great artists from different genre's and generations including REM, The Cure, Ting Ting, Lily Allen and The Black Crowes.This is music I can totally relate to! It's got an authentic "grown up" feel; full of eclectic, fun, flirty, soulful lyrics and melodies. I feel like the music was created for me...a GROWN woman...with grown up, complicated problems instead of a 13 year old school girl devastated because I didn't make the cheer team! (Which I know is a terrible thing in it's own teen angst kind of way!) My favorite part of the CD was Scarlett Johansson's "Last Goodbye". The cd contains "enhanced content", a deleted scene where Scarlett Johannson's character sings this beautiful song in what appears to be a piano bar or lounge. Frankly I'm still stunned by this song! I had no idea she had such wonderful talent. I HIGHLY recommend He's Just Not That Into You album!
What's great about it: Great Lyrics
What's not so great: Nothing

I am not usually a fan of soundtracks- they are just not good compilations, as a whole. This one is, though! Although I am not a fan of the Scarjo song, I love the Ting Tings, Corrine Bailey Rae and REM. I am very pleased with this soundtrack!

This CD is a great mix of upbeat and slow songs. Most of the artist are well known and favorites to many. Usually with most full length CD's I tend to end up skipping past some songs but I did not have the want or need to do so with this album.
This album made me want to see the movie. The songs are great for any age and my children, husband and myself all loved it. You can be having fun dancing one minute or relaxing to nice softer songs the next.
I greatly recommend this album.
I would recommend this to a friend!
