What's great about it: Lots of bells and whistles, CLEAN air
"2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, LOTS of dust and dander. My wife and I waited for this unit to go on sale for $199.99 and snapped it up. I was skeptical at first but WOW what a difference! This unit really eliminates alot of pet dander in the air and I have noticed a huge difference in my breathing. It has 12 different levels of power. We leave it at 3 (12 being the highest) during the day and only 1 at night. This is more than enough cleaning power for us in a medium sized room! I can't imagine what the full level 12 would do (maybe during a crowded house with people smoking). The unit comes with 2 odor eliminating filters which returns a real nice fresh clean feeling in the air. Also, the unit oscillates to blow clean air around the room. The unit is very quiet up to level 3 or 4 but after that, it gets louder by the level. Not a big deal by any means though. All in all, VERY pleased so far!"

"I guess you get what you pay for. We have a crawl space that although is not horrible smelling it does have a bit of that musty odor in the house, my wife is ultra sensitive to it so we got one of these, I was extremely skeptical but it works. I also have mild asthma and I noticed that I cough a lot less too, I hate it when my wife is right..."

"I live with someone that smokes and this unit has been a great asset for me. I can turn the unit on full power and in minutes the smoke has cleared the room. I leave it on low and it keeps the smoke out. The air that comes out of the unit has that fresh smell. I have used it to eliminate food and other household odors with no problem. You don't have to buy new filters...just vacuum the ones that came with it and you good to go."

"I'm like some of the previoius folks that live in an apartment where neighbors smoke somehow drifts in my dwelling. My wife and I are not smokers and we had concerns about our 2 year old. I researched and bought this purifier based on ratings. I would have given the product a higher rating, but it didn't perform as expected for getting rid of the smoke smell. I am very sensitive to smoke and after running the air purifier for over 12 hours it still didn't get rid of it. Maybe the machine is performing like it's supposed to or the smoke smell is coming into my apartment at a greater rate than the unit can handle. I will agree that this unit comes full of nice features that my previous ionic breeze didn't have. I like the fact it has a pretty good fan, prefilter, and two hepa filters that can be cleaned. The UV lamp looks like it can be replaced as well by a pull out tray. The noise level is acceptable, but I wouldn't consider it whisper quiet unless it's on a low setting. The oscillation is great too for moving the clean air around. Prepare to feel cooler with it as it acts like a fan. The controls are simple and easy to read. Overall, the unit does a good job, but not worth 5 stars. I also think it's a little pricey."

"I've been struggling by living in an apartment that i love, but also has a constant smoker upstairs. The smoke goes through my air vents, causing severe headaches, stuffiness, and coughing. I'm very sensitive to smell, and need good ventilation. The other day I spent half the amount I spent on this item by buying a good furnace filter, candles, scented oils, and other items that helped temporarily. My eyes were still watering, and the stuffiness continued. Walking through my local Best Buy, I noticed this item. The picture and description looked like it was something I could use! So, instead of buying a new digital camera, I decided to breathe! This machine is amazing! I've had it on for only a few hours, and the whole place is like a brand new living environment! Anything that comes throught he vents is instantly sucked up into this filtration system. I love te fact that it oscillates, as well. The constant circulation of clean air is extremely refreshing. This item has 12 power settings as well. When it's going to be a quiet evening with someone, I can turn down the settings, and oscillation off, yet still feel the effects! Later in the evening, I set this machine to full-strength cleansing power, oscillation, UV on, and ionizer. The place smells fantastic. This is, by far, one of the best investments I've made. Excellent product. I would have spent this much in the next month anyway with cover-ups and sprays. Very nice!... and I was lucky enough to get the last one in the store before the new shipments...thank goodness! I can breathe!"

What's great about it: Best I've ever had (and I've tried several)! Honeywell and Best Buy are both Minnesota based! What's not so great: Odor killing pre-filters need changing every 3 months; it's well worth the $ though.
"I've tried Honeywell's $100 or so models twice before after others of the same price died soon, had expensive filters or were too loud. I decided to splurge and give this one a try. Man, was it worth it! Seriously, no more than a couple hours after I set it up the place smelled sterile and I'm in a 25 year old basement level apartment. Setup is EASY. It consists of just taking about 4 pieces out of baggies and snapping them in place. SOLID w/ sturdy base. Lots of OPTIONS including a button to turn off the ionizer for people with asthma. LCD display and buttons feel and look very industrial. The UV light actually produces OXYGEN; and if you have the ionizer on it attempts to convert that bad ozone emittance into oxygen. (Ozone is 3 oxygen atoms, pure oxygen in it's normal state is 2 oxygen atoms; the UV light, however effectively, attempts to split apart the ozone molecules into pure oxygen) The odor pre-filters are kinda spendy, but you'll save on what you'd spend on air fresheners, etc. You'll want to turn this off if you're burning scented candles or anything, anyway, because it'll just suck the smell right up. It smells just plain sterile and FRESH, I can't get over it! Both Best Buy and Honeywell are based/have HQ in the Minneapolis area, so it helps the local economy, for us here that is."

"I absolutelty would recommend this product to anyone who has any type of allergies. It is remarkable how after even a short amount of time how you can feel the air quality change. As soon as I got home I took the product out of the box and plugged it in. Within the first hour I could tell that it was doing its job. I am an asthma sufferer and also have pets. I didnt realize until after I plugged this in and turned it on how difficult it was for me to breathe without it. Though it cost way more than I was planning on spending it is worth every penny! I cannot begin to put a dollar value on the quality of living in a allergin free home. A++"

"After pulling out wet carpet from my room I kept weezing every morning when I woke up. After doing some research online I picked the Hepa clean Honeywell air purifier and I did notice the difference in air quality. I havent been weezing since. Im a happy camper with this unit. It seems to do the job."
