Not a very entertaining movie. I'm not sure what the point was with it, but the Punisher character is rather blandly written. I like Ray Stevenson, he's great, but his character doesn't really do too much. It was unfocused and the villains were too cartoonish. The action was good, but there was not much of a story to invest in.

There' s a reason this movie was going to be straight to DVD, because it's terrible. The story was poor, the dialogue was worse, and the only redeeming value was the makeup for Jigsaw looked cool. Aside from that, its a mindless curse and slaughter film. I expect something like that from a Nightmare on Elm St or Friday the 13th movie, but even the last Jason movie had a better story than this. There is a reason it's rated R, so unless your child is in their teens, you shouldn't watch it with them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am apparently one of the few who liked the previous Punisher movie, and this would have been better if they made it a sequel with the same guy playing Frank Castlle/Punisher
What's great about it: action
What's not so great: acting
