This movie started had so little depth to it that a 7 year old could have done better. The plot in its entirety is this: there's a bad guy. He does bad things. The good guy must stop him.
Sure if you want to throw in there the typical damsel in distress, I'll give that to you. Maybe. For a little there he goes all emo for shooting the wrong guy. Oh man. So many plot twists I can hardly keep up.
Plot = Fail.
The dialogue was terrible. I'm pretty sure if they had shot a silent movie it would have been better. Maybe limit it to one syllable words so the director can keep track of everything.
There was no character devlopment. At all. The only thing you find out about anyone is that Frank had his family murdered. Wait. Really?! I had no idea... oh. Right. That's like... the basis for the Punisher character... hm.
This wasn't a sequal. At all. I was extremely dissapointed. I was hoping for the same punisher at least, maybe some further plot development from the last one, a continuation of the story... something. I got none of that. We get a new Frank Castle, we get a new family, shoot, we even get a new backstory. All of which suck.
The violence was over the top. It reminded me of a Quentin Tarantino-style movie. So much violence that it's not even remotely realistic. I realize some people enjoy this.. I think? I never understood that. Whatever. Again, suck.
Bottom line: This move is full of suck. Never watch it. Ever. Unless you have one of those terrible movie-nights where you make fun of everything about a movie. The end.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Every last thing about this movie
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great guy action movie

The Punisher War Zone was a great movie for all guys who just want to see stuff blow up & lots of death.
What's great about it: Plenty of blood, gore, & violence
What's not so great: Some plot holes
I would recommend this to a friend!

As a Punisher fan and a fan of horor/gore movies this was a great movie!
I like the look of Ray Stevenson as the Punisher, he looks so much like the comic book Frank.
Overall, I really loved this movie.
What's great about it: Gore/Blood
What's not so great: Ray was a little stiff
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pretty good action scenes, nothing to take too seriously, lots of exaggerated blood and gore, nothing special
What's great about it: action scenes
What's not so great: not specific if it's another remake or sequel

There is so much blood in this movie that it makes movies like 30 days of night seem suitable for small children. The storyine is more or less appropriately addressed, but it doesn't address how he met other characters like micro (who is a huge aid to the punisher in the comics). Jigsaw (the bad guy) wasn't all that hardcore as they should have made him, and I'm not talking about his looks. They should have made him more sinister (Jigsaw). It's not as good as iron man, but I would definately say it is better than the previous punisher.
What's great about it: It's about time they come out with a rated R punisher, this movie is a blood bath.
What's not so great: some plot holes for those not familiar with the comics, they could have made Jigsaw better
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture and sound,this film starts over and has a new origin told in flashbacks (the original origin from the comics).This is a Punisher who has been at it for years and is a brutal force.If you like the MAX comics you will love this and if you don't like comics no worries this is a straight foward tale anyone can follow.I almost gave this a miss because I stopped reading comics but I heard and read good things about it and am more than glad I got this.I think this is one fo thoes gems that sliped by the mainstream due to poor trailer structure and advertising.Highly recommended!!
What's great about it: Best Punisher film yet!!
What's not so great: No confirmed sequel
I would recommend this to a friend!

Im tired of people tryin to say this movie suxs and you shouldnt check it out. This is an all out action movie, stop tryin to look deeper beyond that. Ray Stevenson is coo as the Punisher...CHECK THIS MOVIE OUT!!!!!!

Finally a Punisher movie that is about the PUNISHER and not the actor playing him. Plenty of criminals dying. Two great co-stars from SMITH & WESSON, TWIN SMITH & WESSON 500 MAGNUMS. Do the crime then either do the time or the Punisher will make you do it in H*LL! I got it on sale for $12.99 + tax. Great price. $29.99 is too much for BluRay. I love the movie on my surround sound system. Gunshots all over the room.
What's great about it: Criminals DYING!
What's not so great: Not enough criminals dying.
I would recommend this to a friend!
