Terrific, right out of the box

I wanted a pocket digital with a separate viewfinder (besides the screen) because in bright sunlight, it was always hard to see the screen on my old one. I also wanted to avoid the shutter delay you find with some of the less expensive cameras.
This camera had the separate viewfinder, and most in this price range didn't. Right out of the box, I was able to use it without even reading the book ... because the user interface was completely intuitive. Was traveling with a friend with a much more expensive camera, and he couldn't believe the shots I was getting and how bright the screen was.
Can't say enough about what a great little camera this is for the price.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Canon SD750 was stolen, along with my purse, from my car one day. Needing to photograph cuisine I prepared to graduate clinary school, I started hunting for a new camera immediately. I loved my old Canon and I love my new Canon. The screen icons are clear and very easily accessable. The Digital Macro setting makes it easy to zoom in on food texture, and capture it EXACTLY. Also, I love the 'Pets & Kids' setting. I'm always taking pictures of my Brittany whom never stays still for long. Love the action shots. I really feel like I've spoiled myself.
I do miss having the 'Color Swap' option from the older model. That was my favorite feature!
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, good battery life, perfect size for carrying around
Cons: no more color swap option
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT CAMERA

Bought this camera to take pictures of my Grandson so you know I wanted a good quality camera. That is exactly what I got. I didn't think such a small cameral would have the quality of the larger professional camera but I was wrong. The qualiy is great! It does hog the battery but the handy battery charger is awsum. I got the deal with an extra battery and a letter case so that was helpful. It's size is great for keeping in your purse to have handy at all times.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, durable
Cons: Short battery life

I got this camera for my birthday and I have used it for every family gathering and event since then. For the size and price of this camera the quality is excellent. And the battery life is great, if you're looking for an even longer battery life just turn off the LCD and it will last much longer. I highly recommend this camera as a quality portable option.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

I cannot say enough about the Canon PowerShot SD1200is camera. The pictures are incredible with 10-megapixils and a 3x zoom packed into little camera that is small enough to fit into your pocket.
No need to open the instruction manual because this camera is so super easy to use (even for a novice such as myself) from the minute you turn the camera on … it just doesn’t get better than this. I LOVE this camera.
ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT: There is no internal memory and no memory card included ... so, you cannot take pictures until you purchase a memory card!
P.S. I HAVE THE POWERSHOT IN PINK
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, fun colors
Cons: no internal memory or memory card included
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've used this camera for several months now. My favorite feature of this camera is the numerous preconfigured settings for different situations. It has preconfigured settings for everything from indoor shots, to sunsets, even fireworks! Bottom line, for the casual user that wants to take great photos without a lot of fuss, this is the camera to buy.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I have used this camera for a month - It replaced an older camera, 9 years old from a competitor. I am a Field Sales Trainer and I need to take volumes of pictures to record my presence . . . The lag time is a bit slow, but that is another issue for a more expensive camera. I have a 4GB card and it holds a "ton" of pictures - Easy setup for the camera and software. In addition, I like the added image stabilizer, since my hand(s) occasionally shake.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

A fantastic camera

The 1200 IS has proven , to me, that this pocket sized Canon is among the best digital camera choices. In the air to & from Italy, in Tuscany, and at home, I have clicked thousands of photos.
The absolute best feature I have employed has been the "flash-off" low light capability. My goal in Italy was to visit, to venerate, & to record choice Renaissance art in Cathedrals, churches, & museums. Flash not being allowed, the 1200 IS performed beautifully. No problems of light or of focusing were encountered. In fact my photos continue to amaze me with their clarity from such uneven conditions. Pocket-sized, but giant is the 1200 IS.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
