Amazing 1080p; whether running my PC, XBOX 360, or PS3 on this HDTV, it looks superb!! Film editing, watching Blu-Ray, gaming, or just surfing the web, this Samsung is definitely a great buy and affordable too!
What's great about it: Picture is amazing! I use it for my PC as well as my XBOX 360 & PS3 and the picture is outstanding!! FULL 1080P!!
What's not so great: TV sound could be better, but using 5.1 surround sound for gaming takes care of that!

I bought this TV yesterday after going in to buy an LG. I knew samsung made great TVs and this one caught my eye. So I bought it and here is what I have to say:
1) The picture is great. No it's not the same quality as a 120hz refresh rate but I still think it beats the picture on alot of them.
2) The price is a steal in my book. I've seen the sony's, sharps and panasonics...the toshiba's, vizio's at walmart, and even samsung/best buys off brand "Insignia" This one looked the best
3) The sound is ok, but when you are buying a tv over 37" you really do need a to buy a sound system...
What's the deal with cheap batteries in expensive products? You would think they would at least give you some decent batteries, oh well
What's great about it: Beautiful picture, cheap, lightweight
What's not so great: None so far...lame batteries?

BUYER BEWARE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I can't believe the current problems that Samsung has with this unit. I was excited about getting it home to start watching my LCD with Verizon FIOS. But one problem that Samsung forget to mention to any of us unsuspecting buyers. They have a new GREEN SCREEN problem. They simply tell to you to go online download a thumbnail port to fix the problem. It doesn't. You can not ever use the HDMI cable beacuse you will get a green screen. That no one seems to tell you about. So you have to use the old cables and the picture quaity is not that great. I took this unit back right away. Why should I pay $799 for a TV that you can't use all the components that you pay for. What a ripe off. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When the sales guy at Best Buy researched the problem and found out about the green screen problem. He couldn't believe what he was reading. Not only is this a problem that he and I both agree about. If you pay for options you should be able to use the options. Not have to settle for less. Do your home work. After I found out about this problem I researched it online. There it was a s plan as the nose on my face. GREEN SCREEN ISSUES> Read up before you purchase this one. LEMON

I bought this TV for my bedroom. One thing that I needed in a new TV is one that had an "alarm clock"(Samsung calls it "Timer") feature.... ie turns on automatically at 6 AM then back off in an hour...this TV did indeed have that feature...however, it only works with either Cable (Co-ax) or Antenna...no HDMI, RCA or component for this feature. So I have to run an RF modulator (non-HD) to this TV, so it at least has some programming on it when it turns itself on in the morning.... a nice feature about the "timer" is you can set the volume and which days of the week you want it to turn on automatically. Unfortunatly since it turns on via the RF modulator, I have to manually change it to HDMI to watch HD stuff...I'm hopeing Samsung will deploy a firmware release that will fix this "problem" Other than that, it is a good TV and I have no complaints.
What's great about it: Good 1080P picture for the price
What's not so great: No HDMI / Component for the "Timer" feature

My 40" Samsung LCD died after only 18 months (no picture only sound). I thought I was buying the best TV available (and paid a lot more for it!), and now it is worthless. Samsung will not admit to a defect in the TV, although there are message boards all over the web with hundreds of consumers having the same problem. Check them out! Please don't get hurt like me...stick to Sharp or Sony.
What's great about it: Great picture, but after 18 months...it's gone!
What's not so great: Check the web. Samsung LCDs require extensive repairs

I was very dissatified with the clarity of the picture. The best way to describe it, is blurry. A TV of this size should not be sold in 60hz because the picture looks like a strectched photo. So, I exchanged my TV for a Samsung 120z, the picture is great, without using an HDMI cord!!!!

Bought a Samsung less than 2 years ago and it will not turn on. Samsung refuses to do anything about it so all I can do is pay 200.00 to fix it and warn others to stay away from the samsung product. I bought a Sony and I am very happy with it. I will never buy a Samsung product again.
What's great about it: whats great is I paid 1400 for a tv less than 2 years ago and it wont work now
