I wish i could write a review about how good/bad the video, sound, and features were, but i can't..... because this piece of junk doesn't work in windows 7. and hauppauge's tech support is nonexistent. I sent an email over a week ago detailing word for word what the software problem was and i have yet to receive a solution. don't waste your time or your money.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: everything
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not possible to do a review, since I was unable to install the item.
What's great about it: Small, and feature rich if you can get it to work for you.
What's not so great: No workable Windows 7 drivers

i thought i would give it a chance although many reviews said that the software did nto work. tried numerous time to install both the software for mindows media player and the designated software off the website as well as the enclosed disc---- locked up everytime and did not complete installation.
returned it
the tv tuner that came with my hp works great though

What's not so great: software does not work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had Win Tv7 and tried to upgrade it to TV8 but it made my computer crash so bad that I had to buy a new one. Got another Win TV7 thinking it would work as TV8 on new computer and it's worst than the original.

It's junk!!!

This tuner constantly suffers from a low bit rate problem and causes Media Center to crash despite having the cable company increase the signal. I have spent countless hours trying to troubleshoot this problem and can only conclude that it's a poor product. The tuner should almost work right out of the box with little fan fare. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Hauppauge. Don't buy it!!!
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: It consistently dissappoints
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Crashed computer twice
on April 30, 2013

Installed easily but remote did not work from start. Unit worked great for 4 days and then picture froze and usb port malfunctioned. Returned to store and exchanged for another one. New one would not install because USB port still not working. Formatted computer, and reinstalled windows, USB port now working, inserted device into USB and it killed the port again, had to reinstall windows again. Returned product to Best Buy for a refund.
What's great about it: easily returnable
What's not so great: crashed computer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
