Works fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I ordered I've read many poor review but was to late to cancel it. I use it for 2 weeks, burned several BDs different brands mostly with full speed and no problem so far. I wonder why it did not work for others: old hardware or bad OS (ie Windows). I use Linux Xubuntu and quite decent Laptop.

Not As Durable As The Internal Drive

I have purchased the internal drive version and it works great. It works just as well but it's not as durable. The soldering that connected to the mini USB port broke off
Pros: ease of use

Nice little drive, but always plug in both ports!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a laptop that doesn't have an optical drive so this is my ticket to watching movies and ripping CD's. It works well, but the ONE thing that needs to be pointed out is that even though the drive may operate with only a single USB port connected, it really needs the power from the second port. It would be even better if the drive throttled back enough to run on just one port when only one was available, but other than this, it's your way back to being able to do all the things you need an optical drive for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this blu-ray player/writer to try blu ray copying and so far it works great. My only complain which has nothing to do with this product is the cost of the blank blu-ray discs. Other than that Life is Good!
