They say you get approx. 1200 sheets...I would say about 600 sheets. I am not sure it is worth to get the xl yet...I will see if the next refill is any better.

High Yield Cartridges

The HP High Yield cartridges (all colors) are long-lasting and convenient to use. I recycle the empty cartridges via HP Planet Partners return & recycling program.

Malfunctioning Cartridge

Installed a 920XL in January. HP Printer shows about 4/5 ths of cartridge left but will only print faintly. Acts like it is out of ink. I have not printed 1200 pages.Installed a new 920XL and prints very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
