the ink cartridge arrived in good time, it was easy to put into printer and should give us many printings, at least the last one we had did!

This will definitely last you for a long time if you print only black and white. I managed to only print about 400 pages for the regular cartridge.

I've tried other ink cartrifges, but it's always the case that HP cartridges result in sharper printing and last longer than the others

One order for color and black cartridges arrived quickly as previous 4 orders did. The three new color cartridges worked perfectly. The new black cartridge however, would not work in spite of all HP Action Center directions for cleaning and alignment checks. It has now rendered my Officejet 6500 wireless incapable of printing at all, even the formerly working colors. I am totally sad and disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
