Easy to use for the techno-impaired

So far no problems but it's new so we will see...very clear & accurate directions w/ streets & turning points given well in advance then repeated just before the turn. Very clear screen & route lay out; clear sound. Seems if you change states you must fiddle around & be sure to return program to starting point state.
What's great about it: Very easy & clear
What's not so great: No life-time maps for the price...that's such a corporate Greed thing...Pigs !!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is everything I expect from a Garmin, it works great. However, every time I turn it on now there are advertisments that pop up on the main screen and there is not an option to turn it off, or if there is I have yet to find it. Very frustrating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have bought at least 6-8 Garmin Nuvi's for myself and members of my family and I loved them....until the last 2 that I bought....pure junk! I bought a 1350 lifetime traffic, map updates, etc when my previous one finally died...the new one is easily confused and when it does work...it is about 400 yards off the mark when it does get you somewhere...I was not happy with that one so I ordered this older model for one of my sons...had always had good luck with older ones....it just cuts off on a regular basis and when it does work...about half the time it takes him in circles...They use to be great products but have gone to junk....stay away from the Garmins!!!
What's great about it: NOTHING
What's not so great: It does not work!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this product a few months, and now it's locked up on the garmin screen. Would be nice if it had some kind of reset button like most similar electronic devices have for that purpose.
Beyond that, have had several problems while on long drives, changing routes, if an exit is closed, it keeps requesting you turn around the next 10 exits and go back and take that exit instead of finding a new route.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This GPS is primarily for business. Before I printed maps from the internet or would call my wife or office to look something up for me. Not anymore. It paid for itself the first couple of days I used it.
What's great about it: Voice commands
What's not so great: Nothing yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Garmin Nuvi 255WT has been working great and it's easy to use. My kids love to watch it while we're driving and we've had fun changing the icons and voices for the holidays. They have numerous icons and voices available for free download on Garmin's website. So far it has gotten us everywhere we needed to go.

This unit is my 3rd and it works better than any yet, but the cord is very thick and has a large plastic converter at the Unit end. Not the easiest to conceal or store.
